    Would Golden Malrin Fly Bait work on cluster or attic flies inside the home?
    We have a home in the country, and have a severe problem with "cluster" or "attic" flies in our loft. Orkin says there is nothing we can do, other than vacuum them up daily.

    Golden Malrin Fly Bait should not be applied indoors. We recommend listed outdoor applications in an FBS-1 Station. Please take a few moments to review our treatment article on How to Get Rid of Cluster Flies for a successful eradication program. The ones inside should be vacuumed daily and we do offer a Flyweb Fly Light also that plugs in a standard outlet for interior use.

    Is Golden Malrin effective on yellow jackets?

    Can a soda and Golden Malrin mix be used around food plants?
    A

    We cannot recommend that you mix or apply Golden Malrin Fly Bait in any manner other than those listed on the product label. If used near edible plants, then Golden Malrin and other fly baits need to be used in bait stations such as the FBS-1.

    Can a mixture of Golden Malrin Fly Bait and Coca Cola in pan be placed under my bed to kill mice?
    A

    Golden Malrin Fly Bait is not to be used inside or around homes nor is this labeled to kill rodents. This product is a fly bait formula which works to provide initial knockdown and reduction of fly populations and should be scattered around dumpsters or used near commercial or restaurant facilities for outdoor use only. 

    For rodents indoors, we would recommend snaptraps or glueboards to trap/catch rodents in addition to using tamper resistant bait stations outside the home against structure with a rodenticide bait. Rodents go outside the home in search for food/water sources typically traveling along the foundation.

    If Golden Malrin Fly Bait was spilled in an area where kids play, how long do they need to stay away from the area before it's safe?
    A

    You should always keep pest control products as well as cleaning chemicals or any other like product away from and out of reach of children and pets. The Golden Malrin Fly Bait label states that children or pets should not be allowed in treated areas. It is not intended to be used inside, around home or any place where children or pets are likely to be present. It is likely very harmful to both so make sure it is being used with caution. 

    Spilled bait should be cleaned up to the best of your availability to prevent accidental exposure.

    What does rain do to Golden Malrin Fly Bait?

    Rain can cause the Golden Malrin Fly Bait to mold and become less effective.  For best protection it should be used in Fly Bait Stations.

    Are eggs safe to eat if my chickens are eating flies killed by fly bait?
    They eat the dead flies in the horse pasture.

    Although the manufacturer of Golden Malrin Fly Bait states on the product label, "DO NOT APPLY WHERE POULTRY OR OTHER ANIMALS, ESPECIALLY DOGS AND YOUNG CALVES, CAN PICK IT UP OR LICK IT", there is no reference to chickens eating flies that have been killed as a result of eating the bait.  We recommend contacting the manufacturer directly for product support and clarification on your question by visiting their website's contact page at https://www.zoecon.com/contact-us.

    Would Golden Malrin Fly Bait be good for killing a sewer rat that is in a home?
    We have a big pregnant sewer rat in our house. Somehow it came in through the wall into our house. We have tried calling an exterminator. They can't seem to catch it, and we have tried using poison in the home, but that doesn't seem to work. So, what other options are there?

    Golden Malrin Fly Bait is only labeled for flies. For rodents inside it is best to use snap traps and glueboards so you can control where they are going to die. You should also seal up all cracks and crevices where rodents may be able to enter the structure. Tamper-resistant bait stations with a rodenticide outside would also help if they are coming and going. We have some guides here that can help as well:
