GrazonNext HL Herbicide is a broadleaf weed control product that will kill more than 100 different types of weeds, including the more difficult to kill perennials, like nightshades and bull nettles. Quickly killing the existing weeds and keeping them from coming back, the product also works great with liquid fertilizers and can be safely used around grazing areas of livestock, Conservation Reserve Program land and wildlife management areas. GrazonNext HL Herbicide also comes with no restriction for any kind of livestock, including beef cattle, goats, horses, nursing dairy animals, and sheep and won't harm desirable grasses like bahiagrass, bermudagrass, fescue, orchard and other mixed native grasses. Just follow the directions on the bottom description on what rate of dilution is required to kill your problem weed and your property will be weed free in no time. The product works great with brush control herbicides, like Remedy Ultra, which can be mixed and applied at the same time, massively reducing the time it takes to undertake an integrated vegetation management program.
Only apply this product if the wind direction favors on-target deposition and there are not sensitive areas (including, but not limited to, residential areas, bodies of water, known habitat for nontarget species, nontarget crops) within 250 feet downwind.
This product replaces Forefront HL Herbicide.

Be careful if using for hay or manure from treated fields
By Gail on 08/05/2019
Be very careful using Aminopyralid. if the cows or horse eat the grass treated or hay treated it passes thru intact. Lost a large part of my tomatoes and potatoes to composted cow manure that contained was contaminated by this. Minute concentrations of picloram, clopyralid and aminopyralid, as low as 1 ppb (parts per billion), can be lethal to sensitive garden plants such as peas, beans, lettuce, spinach, tomatoes and potatoes. Takes years and years to get cleared from soil. Only good plant to put in affected garden soil is corn.

Test results used on Bahia grass hay.
By Edward on 06/03/2018
I am testing this product on three types of weeds that are affecting the quality of my hay fields. Our LSU AgCenter agent listed GrazonNext HL as one of the Herbicides used in their test to control "Horsenettle, Johnson Grass, and Pigweed". So far my test are showing control of all three. I plan to treat all fields next year. Thanks for a great product.

GrazonNext HL Herbicide is safe for applications to wheat grown for hay however is not labeled for millet or rye which are both varities bearded wheat.
Express Herbicide with Totalsol Soluble Granule could be an option as it is labeled for wheat (including durum) barley, oats and triticale.
Per the product label, these varieties can have different responses to herbicides depending on the region. It is recommended to contact your local University Extension Office or Department of Agriculture for advise on product recommendations and timing.
View the Express Herbicide product label for more information and find your County Extension Office HERE.
GrazonNext HL Herbicide is not labeled to kill poverty weed/Roosevelt weed.
Per the product label: GrazonNext HL provides preemergence control of germinating seeds or emerging seedlings of susceptible weeds and re-growth of certain perennial weeds following application. When to apply depends on your application type, either as a pre-emergent (before seeds germinate) or post emergent application (anytime weeds are actively growing).
You may contact your local cooperative extension office to determine the correct timing of the application as this will vary greatly from region to region or search online for best time to apply in (your area) for weed prevention. A lot of universities have great articles for this.

Going to spray on fields soon and want to be sure it will be ok.
GrazonNext HL Herbicide may suppress certain established grasses, such as smooth bromegrass (Bromus inermis), especially when plants are stressed by adverse environmental conditions.
Per the product label, plants should recover from this transient suppression with the onset of environmental conditions favorable to grass growth and upon release from weed competition.
As stated on the product label of Grazon Next HL, "This chemical has properties and characteristics associated with chemicals detected in groundwater. The use of this chemical in areas where soils are permeable, particularly where the water table is shallow, may result in groundwater contamination. Application around a cistern or well may result in contamination of drinking water or groundwater." We would suggest not applying within a 20ft radius of the well. You may contact Dow AgroSciences directly at 1-800-263-1196 for more information on any precautions listed on the label.

My neighbors row crop cotton on one side and peanuts on the other side of my pasture. I am looking for a weed killer/ fertilizer that will not hurt my neighbors crops.
GrazonNext HL Herbicide does list henbit on its label.
I have sprayed my Bermuda grass pasture with GrazonNext HL for weed control. When can I overseed that pasture with winter wheat? If I sprayed in the Spring would it be safe to overseed wheat that Fall?
According to the product label, it is advised that you wait until the next growing season to plant in or seed an area after treating with GrazonNext HL Herbicide.
