Will Hexygon DF work outside on bird mites?

Hexygon DF miticide is intended as a foliar application on crops and plants. Since it is intended for this purpose it has not been tested on bird mites, and bird mites is not on the label. Therefore we cannot recommend it for that purpose and we are not sure if it would work. Our most popular product for bird mites outside is Talstar.

We do carry Hexygon DF miticide/ovicide which is a broad spectrum miticide/ovicide. Hexygon controls mites through ovicidal, larvicidal, and residual/ovicidal activity. It acts as a temporary reproductive inhibitor on egg laying female mites, and interrupts the development process of mite eggs. Effective against eriophyid mites?
Specifically does it kill russet mite eggs?

Hexygon DF Miticide is not labeled specifically for eriophyid mites or russet mite eggs. Avid 0.15 Miticide Insecticide is labeled for both.

What is the shelf life of Hexagon DF? Does it lose effectiveness over time if stored properly?

Hexygon DF Miticide will have a shelf life of 3-5 years if stored properly in a temperature stable environment (between 45 and 75 degrees) and out of direct sunlight.
