    Q
Can I apply Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer immediately after seeding?
I am pretty sure I can, but wanted to be certain. Can this be applied immediately after broadcasting Switchgrass seed? Big Bluestem?
    A

Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer or any other post-emergent should not be applied until grass is established. Generally until the lawn has been mowed 3 times. Atrazine also states to not seed until 6 months after application as it is also a pre-emergent.  It is only for use on Centipede and St Augustine turfgrasses.

    Q
Is there a way to neutralize Hi Yield Atrazine once sprayed?
I sprayed my lawn and now my Forest Pansy Redbud looks like it is dying. Maybe I got too close to the tree? It has Pinestraw around the base that was not sprayed so it was not sprayed up next to the trunk. But maybe too close? And this may not even be the problem with the redbud
    A

Unfortunately, there is little that can be done to counteract the effects once Hi-Yield Atrazine  has been applied to species other than Centipede or St. Augustine grass.

The only way to neutralize it is to apply activated charcoal if it's within a few hours if you are able to locate one

You may wish to contact the manufacturer directly to see if they have any other recommendations.  You can reach VPG/Hi-Yield by calling 855-270-4776.

    Q
Can you use Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer around pecan trees?
Henbit and goat head around pecan trees
    A

Applications of Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer would need to be kept outside of the dripline of any nut trees.

You could consider carefully spot treating the weeds with a product such as Avenger Weed Killer Concentrate, which  is a non-selective herbicide, made from the rind of oranges to control most annual grasses, weeds and broadleaf.  Be sure to avoid any contact with the trees themselves or exposed roots.
