Hi-Yield Nutsedge Control is a selective herbicide that controls nutsedge after it has emerged in both warm and cool season grasses. This selective herbicide is best applied with a surfactant to aid in penetrating the waxy coating of nutsedge helping it to absorb quickly and more fully into the targeted weed. Hi-Yield Nutsedge Control absorbs into the plant in 1-2 days with browning or yellowing occuring within 10-14 days. Each pouch is 0.03 oz. or 0.9 g WSP (water soluble pouch).

INSTRUCTIONS: (To treat 1,000 square feet)

One water soluble bag per gallon of water.
Add 2 teaspoons nonionic surfactant.
Mix or shake at least two minutes.
Occasionally shake while spraying.

Use mixture the same day it is blended--do not store diluted mixture as it will degrade.

I have annoying nutsedge which only pops up in my front yard. After, I fired what is my third lawn service, I decided it was time for me to just rectify my weed issues myself. So, i purchased this hi-yield nutsedge control and mixed it with the hi-yield spreader and my results are phenomenal. What a lawn service couldn't do, I did spending $11.50 and that was to kill the nutsedge with a one time application. Just follow the directions and make sure you mix this product with the recommended spreader and you will see results within a week. I used a hand pump yard sprayer. Couldn't be happier.

This works great. Nutgrass is impossible to kill and spreads like wildfire but its met its match with this stuff. I'm a believer in Hi Yield products, so it was a no brainer to try it, and I expected it works. It didn't harm the Bermuda grass either so use it liberally, just use a surfactant for best results. I'm about to treat one more time to get the ones I missed on the first round. If Nutgrass is a problem for you this is your cure.

What should I do once the nutsedge is now dying after using Hi Yield Nutsedge Control?
What should I do now once the nutsedge has begun to die. I applied a week ago and the nutsedge has fallen over and is in obvious stress.

A

Once the nutsegde is completely brown you can pull the weed up and re-seed or resod in those areas to make sure just grass is growing.

Do you apply the Hi-Yield Nutsedge Control before or after cutting grass?

Per the product label it is recommended to not mow turfgrass for 2 days before or 2 days after application for best results.

Do you know the mixed shelf life is of Hi Yield Nutsedge Control?

A

The mixed solution should be used within 24-48 hours of being mixed and any remaining should be poured out around the foundation of the home.
