Do i need to be gone for a period of time while treating infected areas?AJT Eaton Kills Bedbugs Plus contains petroleum distillates, so it will have a slight odor. That should dissipate shortly after the product sprays and dries.

The label does state the JT Eaton Kills Bedbugs Plus can be applied to the top, bottom and sides of mattress and box spring until damp, paying attention to tufts/seams. Allow to fully dry before using. You can take bed apart and spray joists also.

For a product that can be sprayed on the tops and skin surface areas of furniture you could use Sterifab or BioDefense. For all non skin surface areas of the furniture like the sides and bottoms of cushions, and side/back/bottom of the furniture itself you could use a product like Onslaught which is labeled for bird mites and is our most succesful product our customer with bird mites use. There are no long term residual products on the market labled for use directly on the tops of furniture like couches or mattresses.
