It says "allow daylight (not direct sunlight) to illuminate the solution."

Does it matter if the soil and water solution sits for 5 days after mixing before testing it?
The 1:5 soil/water solution was mixed on Friday, but we did not test the solution until Tuesday. No significant color variation from the reference samples were noted in any of the tests. Did the solution set too long? It was in the barn - does a temperature of 45 to 50 degrees affect the results?
