3) assisted pull start is awesome - never experienced this before but I would mind it on some of my other equipment.
4) directions for assembly are very poorly written and photographed (but it's not too tough to figure it out.) They could improve this a lot though.
5) before buying I was sorta wishing the tank was more than 3.43 gals but it's probably that way for a good reason. I can hoist cumulative weight of the filled machine from the ground to my back (it takes real effort though). Im not sure I could handle it if it had a 5 gal tank to be perfectly honest - would probably need a staging area.

Directions for assembly were poorly prepared. They look like a rough draft that someone worked up in a word doc. Regardless, my pea brain was able to bridge the gaps where some description or images were lacking. Overall it was a pretty simple set up.
3.43 gal is not the largest reservoir on the market but having now felt the full weight of a machine plus gas plus 3.43gals of liquid, I wouldn't want a bigger reservoir than this.
There are two valves inline to shut off the flow, they work as expected. I like that this model mods not require a tubing running all the way down of the end of the blower. Throttle and killswitch location are good.
Pushes out the product out nicely, distance / coverage is what id hoped for.
This is my first 2cyc with an assisted pull start - that's a really neat feature to be honest. I thought I wouldn't care about this at all but I really like it a lot/ wouldn't want one without now that I've been spoiled.

This was my first mister, which I bought to start a mosquito control business in Alaska. I'm going to try to keep this very concise with pros and cons, and a summary:
PROS:
1. Pull start requires one "wind-up" pull and one very easy pull to start. It's not like an old lawnmower. Just a gentle pull does the trick.
2. I rarely need the choke (see cons, on choke lever). This thing starts up almost every time on a cold start with a prime.
3. The output on this blower is amazing. It's got great range, and if you really need to blast an area, crank the aperture to the max, and you feel like Mac in Predator, mowing down the jungle.
4. It's comfortable. It's not so tall that it becomes top-heavy. This thing is squatty and helps keep a lower center of gravity, which I would say is safer and more easy to maneuver. Nice padding and support.
CONS:
1. There are easily breakable parts. The throttle lever and choke lever have both broken on mine due to minor impacts. The throttle lever was an easy fix, but hard to find the right part online. The choke lever, I rarely ever used it anyway, so I make do without it.
2. Why dont I have two of these things? That's it, I'm buying another one.
Summary: I have this Maruyama and the new Solo 466. The Solo is for the guy who gets paid by the hour and doesn't mind taking his sweet time and watching the butterflies. This Maruyama sprayer will get you through a job much faster, and do a more effective job. The hard part is being more precise, say if there are lots of flowers and edible plants to navigate, the Solo can be a great option. But in Alaska, most of my client properties are more rural, more rugged, and "target-rich." This calls for the Maruyama, 99/100 times. And yes, I just bought another one.
