Maxforce FC Ant Bait Stations are typically used when you start seeing activity of ants in the home, to provide them with a food source to take back to the rest of the colony. However many customers prefer to leave the stations out all the time, or place them around before activity is noticed for the season to have them ready for any that may find their way in. Ideally you would want to use a residual spray around the foundation of the home on the outside to help prevent any ants from ever making their way in the home. A product like Temprid FX would be great for that application and is safe for use indoors along baseboards and crevices as well if needed, and provides a slight transfer effect through the colony by touch, similar to the way the ant bait is transferred.
Which product is most successful will depend on the food source that the ants are seeking when you are baiting. Using a combination of products will help get the ant infestation under control much more quickly than using any one product alone. You should check the bait placements once a week and replenish as needed until ant activity has ceased. They are equally as effective if used as directed on the product label.
