Monterey's Magnify Activator Penetrant is a sucrose-based herbicide activator and penetration agent that works by making plants absorb it and the pesticide it is mixed with as an energy source, greatly increasing the biological activity and surface penetration of defoliants, desiccants, and herbicides which are compatible with ammonium sulfate/nitrate and/or surfactants. The ammonium sulfate and nitrate keep ionic herbicides from becoming deactivated and stimulating the plant's metabolism, making for more effective and faster weed control and defoliation. Application rates will vary with the pesticide you pair with the product, usually with 1-4 quarts of product per 100 gallons or 1/3 to 1 1/4 fl. oz per gallon of finished solution with backpack or hand-held sprayers. For better potency, use at least 1 pint per acre when applying less than 20 gallons per acre. However, do not exceed 5 percent of the mixture being the activator. Just fill the sprayer tank half full of water, add the desired amount of product, then shake until thoroughly mixed. Next, add the other products that are being sprayed, place any required water for those products, then keep the mixture agitated while spraying. If the mixture settles, then reagitate before spraying again. This non-phytotoxic product can be used in agricultural, aquatic, forestry, industrial, turf and ornamental applications, and non-cropland areas. This is compatible with glyphosate-containing products, paraquat-containing products, sulfonyl urea herbicides, and most other general herbicide, desiccants, and defoliation products with ammonium sulfate/nitrate and/or surfactants.
