We do not recommend Monterey Sluggo Plus Snail & Slug Killer or any other products for control of hammerhead worms. These are a carnivorous invasive species, and we are not aware of any specific products to control them except perhaps salt or vinegar. You can learn more about these worms here.
The Monterey Sluggo Plus Snail & Slug Killer can be applied a few days before a mowing and that would be fine. The bait is designed to hold up to the outdoor elements for up to 4 weeks, but if you find any gets too disturbed in some places you mow, you can reapply if needed.
