Nooski Mouse Trap is a humane, safe, clean and easy to use trap. Trapping mice is easy with this innovative design. This trap never misfires and will kill mice quickly and as humanely as possible. The mouse enters the trap and the system releases a rubber latex ring that goes around their neck. This causes the mouse to spring free and then die a few feet from the trap. This is less messy and is safe to use around pets and children. Snapped fingers and poison are no longer a worry with this Nooski mouse trap. These traps are environmentally safe and made from industrial grade plastic. This system is less messy because all you need to do is lift the mouse up and dispose of it. - Location – For the most effective pest control, placing traps in the right locations is crucial. High-activity areas are the ones to target, and thorough inspection will tell you which areas these are. Even though placing traps evenly around a room may look like you’ve got the entire room under control, selecting the high-activity areas as trap areas will reward you for your efforts.
- Number of Traps – While it may seem okay to use only a couple of traps for a small infestation, this is the most common trapping mistake. A dozen traps are not too many to target only a couple of mice. The more traps you have positioned in the high-activity areas, the higher the chance of success. It is a good idea to place traps close together in double sets, especially if your infestation is serious.
- Importance of the First Night – According to statistics, the first trapping night is more important than those that follow. More mice are caught on the first night, where as three or four nights after you set your traps, you may find that your catch drops to zero.
- Offer Multiple Bait Choices – When it comes to adding bait to your trap, it helps to know what your rodents are looking for. This is not always easy to determine, especially since individuals in a rodent population seek different types of foods. Therefore, using different baits when many rodents are involved is wise. If possible, take note of what your rodents are feeding on (potato chips, for example), and use this as one type of bait. Divide the traps up and bait some with bacon bits or other meat, some with peanut butter smudges, and some with dental floss or other nesting materials.
- Monitor Activity – Keep checking your traps to monitor the activity. Continue trapping until signs of rodent activity disappear.
- Wear Gloves – When dealing to your Nooski traps, wearing disposable gloves is recommended. While traces of human odor will not prevent rodents from approaching the traps (as the odor doesn’t last long, and rodents often investigate and consume objects that smell like humans anyway), personal hygiene and biohazard awareness are good reasons to wear gloves.
