    Q
Are the products in the Outdoor/Indoor Flea Kit safe around kids 2 years of age?
Will rain wash the products away?
    A
Both the Onslaught and the Martins IGR that are included in the Outdoor/Indoor Flea Kit are safe to use around children as long as you follow the product label. Children need to be out of the area while the products are being applied and they can return to the treated area as soon as it is dry. Both of the products in the Outdoor/Indoor Flea kit are rain safe as long as the products were applied to a dry surface and they have had time to dry before it rains. As a general rule of thumb you should have no rain the day of or the day after the application to insure the products have had time to bond to the surface so they will not be washed away with the rain.

    Q
I have 4 cats. They never go outside. Recently the all are now infected.
I moved to Savannah, Ga from Miami, Fl one year ago. I live in an apartment located on a heavily wooded area. I noticed the fleas shortly after the tenant moved out of the apartment next to mine. Could any of this have contributed to my flea infestation? I will be treating my cats with Advantage II. What do you recommend I do to rid the fleas from my house and keep them out? None of my cats have ever had fleas including my 21-year-old Hemi. Thank you, Martin Hyde [email protected]
    A
It is highly possible that the fleas could have come from next door. We woud recommend the Indoor flea kit.  The Indoor Flea Kit with Alpine Aerosol and CimeXa dust treats over 2000 sq. ft. of space and is an excellent combination for long-lasting flea control. The kit contains two cans of Alpine Aerosol which is one of the safest professional grade flea sprays for use indoors and was recently classified as a reduced risk product by the EPA. It provides excellent control of fleas and contains an IGR as well, which prevents adult fleas from being able to lay eggs, eventually halting the flea reproductive cycle.

    Q
We have lots of rain and lots of fleas inside and out. Need to get control of outside first.
After Texas rains, outbreak of fleas, indoor and out, but serious outside.
    A
We would recommend using the Outdoor/Indoor Flea Kit. It contains an insecticide and an insect growth regulator (IGR) to combat the fleas. Outdoors, you will spray the areas where the fleas are. Indoors, you will do the same except you will vacuum daily. You will do these treatments every 14 days until you no longer see activity.

    Q
What's the best product for fleas and ticks (pet friendly) for very large yards?
I need something I can spray with a hose pipe sprayer. Thank you very much for your help.
    A
We would recommend using our Outdoor/Indoor Flea Kit. It comes with enough solution to do multiple treatments. You will mix 1 fl. oz. of Onslaught per gallon of water and 1 fl. oz. of Martin's IGR (insect growth regulator). The IGR is essential because it will stop the fleas from reproducing. Your first treatment will be with both product, and your second treatment will be with the Onslaught only. You will do treatments every 14 days until the flea population is eradicated. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

If you want to use the same product for both indoor and outdoor flea treatments, you should consider purchasing our Outdoor/Indoor Flea Kit. The kit also contains Martins IGR which will help break the breeding cycle of the fleas for long term control.

    Q
Does the grass need to be dry before applying insect dust?
We have fleas in our yard and were told your insect dust would rid us of this problem, but the package does not say if we can apply if the grass is wet.
    A

We would not recommend applying dust outdoors. If the dust was to get wet, it would be useless and would have to continuously be applied again. Dust is meant to be applied indoors inside the wall voids.

For outdoor flea control, we would recommend using our Outdoor/Indoor Flea Kit. It comes with insecticide and an IGR (insect growth regulator). The IGR stops the fleas from reproducing. You will mix them together in a hand pump sprayer and broadcast the solution across your lawn. After 14 days, you will do a second treatment with the insecticide only. These products can also be used indoors as a broadcast as well.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Q
I use Suspend SC. Daughter moved in w/cat that goes outside & brings fleas in. Additional treatment needed?
I am due for my regular overall treatment with Suspend SC, but wonder if there is something that I should do for truly effective control of the fleas that we notice on the cat. We are not experiencing any bites, etc. and I want to get it under control right off of the bat. The dog doesn't seem to bring home these little hitch hikers but she is in a treated yard, but the cat wanders.
    A
Suspend SC is great at killing most insects, including fleas, but it is not labeled to apply all over floor coverings which is normally what is required for treating fleas.  We do have an outdoor flea control kit which can also be used indoors.  This is our most popular flea control product.  In addition to applying this kit outdoors and indoors if there is an issue, you should have your pets treated and have Frontline or Advantage flea treatments applied regularly.

    Q
Advantage flea products are made with fipronil and imadocloprid. Both available cheap from DoMyOwnPestControl.
I read the above in an article and wanted to know if you could mix the two to make a topical flea solution, if so what products and the ratio to be used? I couldn't find what I needed by looking at individual products.
    A
For a flea treatment, we would recommend the Outdoor/Indoor Flea Kit. It comes with the insecticide Onslaught which is labeled for fleas as well as various other pests as well. You will mix 0.5 fl. oz. per gallon of water The kit also comes with Martins IGR. An IGR is an insect growth regulator; this is like a birth control for the fleas and will stop them from reproducing. You will use 1 fl. oz. per gallon of water. These two items can be mixed together when you are spraying these. We recommend using a pump sprayer. Please give us a call if you have any additional questions.

    Q
What are the best products for fleas inside house, outside and on a dog?
    A

For your dog, I would recommend using Petcor Flea Spray. If your dog is under 10 lbs, a wet towel or cloth should be used to rub the spray on the animal versus spraying on them directly.

For inside and outside your home, I would recommend the Outdoor/Indoor Flea Kit. It comes with Onslaught Insecticide and an IGR (insect growth regulator) to inhibit the growth of the fleas. These items are both safe when dry. When using the products, make sure to vacuum every day for 14 days then do a second application of insecticide if needed.

    Q
Will Onslaught kill fleas coming into my yard from my neighbor's yard if used in conjunction with an IGR?
Even though I treat my yard and dog pen, my neighbor doesn't. Her dog pen is adjacent to mine. Will Onslaught kill the fleas coming from her yard and dog pen?
    A
Onslaught will help with the flea infestation but you will need to reapply frequently (every 2 weeks) because of the constant influx of new fleas from your neighbors yard. We sell Onslaught with an IGR in our Outdoor/Indoor Flea Kit for your convenience.

    Q
How do you treat an area that has fleas really bad?
This area was an old dog pin.
    A
You should consider using our Outdoor Flea Kit. The kit includes 1 pint of Onslaught insecticide to knockdown the adult fleas and 1 x 4 oz. bottle of Martins IGR to stop flea growth and reproduction.  We've included these products in the kit because they are easy to use, effective, and safe to use in your yard and inside the home. Both products are concentrated and need to be mixed with water before use.  You can apply the mixed solution with a pressurized hand-held sprayer or a hose-end sprayer.

    Q
I have two young dogs and 1 young cat. How can I kill fleas and ticks naturally no chemicals in my sandy yard?
I want it safe for my animals, other animals, people and kids but effective for controlling these pests in a yard 95% sand. I'm a single mother (not rich) budget?
    A

The products offered in our Outdoor/Indoor Flea Kit are at a discounted rate for the kit price. We also offer fast, free shipping. Both products are labeled for fleas and ticks and it can be applied inside and outside of the home. It is safe for humans and pets when the area is dry prior to their entry to the treated areas. This kit will offer enough product for the initial treatment and the follow up treatments that are necessary (once every two weeks).

    Q
I use Termidor for termites and I need some product for control of ticks and fleas.
I use Termidor for termites and I need some product to kill and control ticks and fleas around the patio and premises where my pets stay. Is the Termidor properties affected or reduced with the use of other product? What product do you recommend for those pests on my pets; shampoos, dips, etc.?
    A
Since Termidor is a non-repellant product you would not want to apply anything repellant as it will null that affect.  For flea and tick control outside you can use the Outdoor/Indoor Flea Kit.  This kit contains Onslaught which is a broad spectrum insecticide which can be used as a broadcast spray for both indoor and outdoor infestations. The kit also contains Martins IGR which will help break the breeding cycle of the fleas for long term control.  Both products work great for fleas and ticks.  We do carry several products that are labeled for flea and tick control on pets, you can find them here.  Our most popular product is the PetCor Flea Spray.  Petcor Flea Spray contains Precor IGR, another type of insect growth regulator.
