Pennington One Step Complete Tall Fescue Mulch is a pre-mixed and ready to use grass seed, fertilizer, and mulch product, designed to create a attractive, thick, and water-saving lawn. Ideal for new lawns and repairing damaged areas, just start the seeding by raking the top layer of soil, removing any thatch, weeds or other debris, then rake smooth. Then sow 1 cup of seed every square foot for new lawns and 1 lb of seed per 15 sq. ft. when repairing areas. Water the area, especially when the mulch turns a light green color, which signals that the grass is drying out. The product will turn dark green when properly watered and and keep the mulch and soil moist until the grass grows 3 inches high. The mixture of fertilizer and mulch holds in moisture and provides vital nutrients for the seed, saving up to 30 percent less water when compared to other grass seed, once established.
