Have a bad fungus problem this year and need a systemic solution. Mostly for Edelweiss grape variety.
Phostrol Fungicide is used at the rate of 2.5 -5 pints per acre for grapes per the product label. It does not specify any varieties of grapes on the label for treatment, only grapes in general for application. You can use it for a variety of diseases including downy mildew which is common on grapes.
Phostrol Fungicide is labeled to control pythium blight on turfgrass. You would use 4-8 oz per 1000 square feet in 1-3 gallons of water, and reapply at 14-day intervals as a broadcast spray. Applications for pythium are best applied preventatively when conditions favor disease development.
What fungicide rotates well with it so resistance is not built up as fast?
Phostrol Fungicide is labeled to control pecan scab as directed on the product label. It does mention to alternate or use with other fungicide. Agri-Tin is mentioned but not a product we carry. The active ingredient Propiconazole is commonly used to treat Pecan Scab and could be rotated with Phostrol.
Phostrol Fungicide is not labeled for peach leaf curl, but you may consider using Bonide Liquid Copper Fungicide Concentrate which does list peach curl on the product label. Mix 0.5 - 2.0 fluid oz. of product per gallon of water, and apply 1.1 - 2.3 gallons of diluted spray per 1,000 sq. ft. applied as a dormant spray in late fall to before bud break, repeating application every 7 - 10 days as needed.
The rate for Phostrol Fungicide will depend on what vegetable you are treating on. However, you will need anywhere between 2.5 to 5.0 pints per acre. This is equivalent to 0.4 to 0.8 oz to a gallon of water. Please refer tothe product label for complete instructions.
