Pantry moths
By Klaus on 03/23/2013
Had pantry moths in the kitchen, pantry and some other rooms. When opening the ProPest Pheronet Pest Trap shipping package the pantry moths started to hover around and trying to get into the package wrappings and managed to kill about a dozen of them just by hand. Placed the traps in kitchen and pantry and could see the traps doing their intended work. Real effective traps. I am very impressed of the product.

Worth a try
By The on 04/12/2013
After reading the other reviews I thought we'd give this product a try after moving into a new home that had panrty months. Thankfully, I wasn't swarmed by moths after opening it as others had warned. I guess we didn't have a major problem with the moths because our traps aren't "filled". We weren't really sure if the traps were working but we have seen a decrease in moths so we are assuming they really are. Really glad we found this product and the price is great!
Caught six pantry moths in 3 hours
By Maureen on 04/12/2013
I've had tiny moths flying around my kitchen and pantry the last few weeks. I have used these traps in the past, quite successfully, so I ordered more. You wouldn't believe how quickly these moths multiply. And it's such a challenge to find the source of their feeding spot. This time it was the pistachio nut bag. Within about three hours, the trap had six moths stuck to the sticky tape. Luckily they all got trapped. Excellent product!
traps ARE working

It's been 5-days since putting up 2-traps. One in a closet, one in a pantry. So far, nothing has been caught in the pantry, in spite of killing a few by hand in past months. On the other hand, the closet trap has several dozen victims. And it's hatching season here. UGH! These traps don't seem to be quite as effective as a brand I used that was purchased from my local health food store last year; but they no longer sell them. They looked the Pro-Pest traps, but they had a little tubular shaped rubber thing that contained the pheromone. The moment I went to hang one in a room, I was instantly swarmed with hundreds of moths. I filled about 8-traps before the outbreak was under complete control a few months later. But, since I can longer purchase that brand, I would recommend the Pro-Pest traps because the ones the big box stores sell (with the red square) were an expensive, ineffective JOKE!
These are awesome!

These traps are fabulous! They starting working as soon as I took them out of the package. I ordered 3 and since it's been 3 months (I used one each month) it's time to get more. I'm not sure that they have eliminated the problem, but I haven't yet found the source. In the meantime, these traps are doing a great job getting the little pantry moths.

This trap works great. First day I put it up, i checked it and there were about 10 moths stuck in it. Highly recommended. Also, domyownpestcontrol.com has the best service and best price. The first shipment was lost so I contacted them and they shipped me another one right away at no cost to me. Thanks!!!

I have a commercial food business and one day a couple of years ago I got complaints from a couple customers of weird little bugs in the pkg with what appeared be like a little nest. I got the pkgs back did a bunch of research online. and found out they were probably pantry moths. I do not use any flour or grains in my products only seeds and spices -- they were only in one flavor the raw cacao based one. I went online again to find remedies and bought EVERY type I could find and used them all rotating them over the following year -- the best hands down is ProPest - I will never be with out them again. I stock up!
Wow

We've been living with these pantry moths for a long time. I've swatted a whole bunch of them, made sure grains were in plastic bags, and cleaned out the pantry. They kept coming back filling our home with friendly, flying things. Then, I bought ten traps for under $30. By the first day, the number of moths dropped to almost none. Now, we are virtually moth free. Great product.

I have used these for several years now and wouldn't be without them. I have a parrot and seems like the seed always has the moths in it sooner or later so just keep them around the birdroom and in the cabinets too. Living in the south with all the heat we usually have them all year.

Really effective trap

I am very satisfied with this trap. Not long after setting it up, the Indian Meal Moths started to appear in the trap. There are so many in one that I will have to change it out before the expiration date, I believe. The only downside I have noticed is for every 10-15 moths caught, there appears to be one that gets away from the adhesion of the trap (an imprint of moth wings remains absent of a moth). I like to think, though, that it may have just permanently wondered to another area of the trap.
Excellent product

I use these traps in the room where I have my pet birds. The stored seed I keep in that room sometimes produces small moths and this trap catches them quite well. I have been using this trap for years and will continue to do so, as needed. I hang one in my pantry just in case I have escapees (the bird room door is usually closed) and these traps keep any moths out of my food items.
Color me amazed -

I have a large African Grey and buy food in bulk. I have had a moth problem since day one. I have tried everything, from sprays to weekly fogging the entire house. I even bought 4 of those battery operated "tennis racket" style zappers. My wife an I walk around the house with one in each hand zapping the moths daily. I came across these traps and -wow- problem gone. We put 3 traps around the house a week ago and I think we've zapped maybe 2 or 3 moths total in that hole time. I am stocking up on these for sure.
very happy

I can' t believe how efficiently and effectively the traps work. I was amazed at the number of the buggers that got caught. I found the moths in the dog treats, cereal boxes, etc. I had to clean out the entire pantry. The traps have helped to catch the hatched moths and to prevent further infestation.
These work!

As another reviewer said, be prepared to be mobbed by moths as soon as you remove the paper backing from this product. In fact, I put four of the moth traps in a manilla envelope, brought the envelope over to my moth-besieged fiance, and the moths flew around the envelope... excitedly. I don't know how long the Pheromone scent will last, but at this bargain price of about $2.50 apiece versus store prices of at least twice as much more, I'd advise anyone to get a few. I am!

These, along with a complete clean out of infested foods and sealing of all food products, got rid of my very bad moth infestation. I still keep the traps in my pantry but haven't seen any moths for many months. You must keep replacing the traps and keep setting them out for quite some time. Don't expect overnight results but THEY REALLY WORK. Moth Free & Happy at Last!!!!
Pantry Pest Trap
By Mike on 02/23/2014
Purchased the 12-pack of pest traps in order to keep the "price-per-trap" low. Cost was about 1/3rd of what I would have paid at local Home Depot. Traps arrived very quickly, within two days! Our house got an infestation when my wife bought some bulk bird seed from local farm supply store. Before we knew it we had pantry pests in our pantry, kitchen and room that houses our pet parrot. I cleaned up everything and got rid of dozens of pantry pests. I then placed one trap in the kitchen and another in the bird's room. Directions state that you shouldn't use more than 2 in a house. The one in the kitchen has captured three pests in the past couple of weeks whereas the one in the bird's room has captured over a dozen even though I seldom see any (other than in the trap). I think we're on the way to getting rid of 'em. The product seems to work quite well and I will buy more if needed. Highly recommended.
Almost Magic

Wouldn't be without these. I've tried many brands - from local stores and other online merchants. None are better, but many are more expensive! If no moths are caught, one of these traps will keep working for at least a couple of months. But if you've got a major infestation, plan to replace when the glue is mostly covered with moths. They work well in cabinets or out in the open. Using these along with a Dynazap extendable insect zapper to reach the ones that just keep flying or want to rest on the ceiling ensures the food in your kitchen, pantry, office, or garage is for your family, not the moths.

THEY WORK!!!
By Elaine on 04/23/2014
I was determined not to allow the pantry moths to take up residence in my new place. I ordered these and similar products from a couple of other companies. One of these traps caught more moths than the others put together. It's so rare to find products that actually do what they say they will do. These work!!!

This trap is the best thing I have out of many. I traps so many moths that it disgusts me to see how many are in my house. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is having problems with these insects. And it does appear to be safe for the environment. Thanks Pro-Pest
