One part of the label under spot applications says .367oz per 1000 sq ft. In the table it says 1 tbsp per 1 gal. These do not match up in measurements.AQuinclorac 75 DF is used at the rate of 0.367 oz per 1000 sqft when applied as a broadcast or spot treatment in a minimum of 0.5 gallons of water. If you are spot treating with a specific amount of water, ie 1 gallon you would use the 1 tbsp per gallon.

As long as the Quinclorac 75 DF treated area had time to dry, rain will not wash it away. Dry time is typically about 4 hours.

On average if you are using it with a surfactant it can take at least 14 days after application to see dead or dying weeds. Since summer is not the best time of year to treat for crabgrass and its much harder to control during this time, you may find that the results take longer or may have to do reapplications to get full control. You can retreat after 14-21 days. -

Trying to kill crab grass and some broad leaf weedsAIt is not recommended to apply Quinclorac 75 DF or any other herbicide when temperatures above 90 degrees Fahrenheit as this could burn turfgrass. Be sure to apply in the early morning or late evening so that the product has had time to dry before temperatures exceed 85 degrees.

The first thing you need to know when using an herbicide is that the exact amount of water you dilute it with is not important. It is only important to make sure you are using the correct amount of product per 1,000 sq ft of lawn. Use too much and you risk damaging your lawn, use too little and you will not get adequate results. To decide how much water you want to use, you should mark a 1,000 sq ft area, fill your sprayer with water ONLY, and start walking and spraying just as if you were doing the actual application of herbicide. When you are done walking and spraying the 1,000 sq ft area note how much water it took you to spray that area, and that is the amount you will want to mix for each 1,000 sq ft area that needs to be treated. You will need to make sure treated areas are irrigated with at least 1/2 inch of water (either by rainfall or by sprinkler) following the application. -

You will also need a hand pump sprayer or backpack sprayer to apply.

Nufarm should also include tablespoon increments on the measuring tube. I believe that a level tablespoon per gallon is the correct amount. That comes to about .367 ounces in the measuring tube as mentioned elsewhere on the label. If you are targeting crabgrass, then it is best to treat in late spring/early summer when the crabgrass is still small, or later in the summer or early fall when the grass has resumed growing again. You want to be cautious about broadcast applications of this or other post-emergent herbicides during the hottest parts of the summer: the desirable turf will be under more stress from the heat and the target weeds will not be growing much. You can broadcast or spot treat with Quinclorac at labeled application rates. -

The product label does state the following regarding crabgrass: Complete control may not be achieved under certain conditions to crabgrass at 2 - 4 tiller stage. In these cases you will need to make a sequential application for control. For best results apply with methylated seed oil either before the second tiller stage or as the weed grass mataures. You should treat whenever the crabgrass has just emerged or after it has matured for best results, whenever this is in your area. You can also check with your local cooperative extension office for the best advice on timing. -

I have 2 large sycamore trees which are growing in a lawn of tall fescue. Lots of crabgrass have invaded as have many sycamore saplings.AQuinclorac 75 DF is absorbed by foliage and roots and is translocated throughout the plant. It should not harm mature trees or desirable plants when used as directed.

As with any chemical mixture, be sure to do a tank mix test first to make sure no clumping or mixing issues occur and spot test a small area to be sure no undesirable effects occur from the mixture and use. Always follow the most restrictive label of the two for use. Per the Quinclorac 75 DF product label, only use on fine fescue if its incorporated into a fescue blend as some turf damage or discoloring could occur if its a fine fescue lawn only. -
