The mixing ratio of Roundup QuikPRO is 1.5 oz. per gallon of water. This will treat approximately 1000 square feet. For a 1/2 acre, you will need 21.78 oz in approximately 21 gallons of water. This product will kill whatever it comes in contact with, including weeds, unwanted shrubs, etc. You will only need one bottle of this to cover 1/2 acre.
It is harder to measure an exact solution percentage with RoundUp QuickPRO. However, you should use 4.5 to 9 pounds of granules per Acre for perennial weeds, the mix in sufficient water to cover the desired treatment area. Please see the product label for complete application instructions. Be advised that RoundUp QuikPRO will only offer partial control of Bermudagrass.
We would recommend using a liquid concentrate for the most options with your finished solution since the liquid has less glyphosate, allowing for a broader range of solutions. RangerPro is a very economical liquid concentrate that contains 41 percent glyphosate. You would use 4 gallons of RangerPro Concentrate in 200 gallons of water to make a 2 percent solution, per the product label.
Roundup QuikPRO should be applied in the early morning or late evening when the temperatures are not as high. Do not apply when temperatures are near or below freezing or while it is precipitating outdoors.
Roundup QuikPRO should NOT be applied in or near water as it is toxic to fish and other aquatic organisms.
You will mix Roundup QuickPRO at the rate of 1.5 oz per gallon of water.
Unfortunately there are no products available (that we carry or others carry) that will kill the Dallisgrass without killing the surrounding St. Augustine grass. The best option once it has emerged is to either spot spray or wipe on something like Round Up Quick Pro, or hand dig up the clumps of dallisgrass down to the root system and re-seed.
Roundup QuickPRO is not labeled for cactus. It may however take care of them. We would recommend a product like Remedy Ultra Herbicide or Tordon RTU Specialty Herbicide. Each of these takes care of hardier plants and brush where Roundup is more for broadleaf weeds.
Roundup QuikPRO is labeled for eradicating yellow starthistle as well as Russian thistle, Canadian thistle, Sowthistle and Artichoke thistle.
Roundup QuikPRO can kill just about anything it is applied to including wood brush and tree saplings. If the tree is mature you will need to cut it down and apply as a stump killer.
Roundup QuikPRO moves through the plant from the point of contact and into the root system.
Roundup QuikPRO will kill English Ivy. You may also be interested in Monterey Weed Wacker. Weed Wacker is listed to treat for English Ivy and can safely be applied over Warm and Cool season grasses per label.

Glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup QuickPRO, does not remain active for long after an area is treated. Per the manufacturer, if an excessive amount of Roundup QuikPRO was sprayed into the stone patio, there may have been enough of the Roundup remaining on the stone to wash off onto the adjacent grass area.
