Scotts EZ Seed Patch and Repair Tall Fescue Lawns is a formula designed to improve your lawn by helping you grow grass on lawn patches. This product is composed of premium grass seeds, special fertilizer and absorbent mulch. The mulch in this formula can hold up to 6 times its weight in water keeping the seedlings from drying and dying out. It also grows 4 times its size when watered which allows new seedlings enough space giving them access to water and nutrients thus faster grass growth. Prepare the area you want to grow grass. Remove dead grass and loosen hard soil to help tiny seedlings root.
Evenly apply EZ Seed so the area is mostly covered, but bare ground is still visible. (Use half as much for thin areas). Only apply the recommended amount so that seedlings have enough space to access water and nutrients.
Gently water the area until EZ Seed is completely saturated and no more water is being absorbed (this may take several minutes). Continue to water daily or as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall.
