Sulfodene Skin Medication for Dogs is formulated to use on dogs with the knowledge that they will likely lick some treated spots. While treatment will work best if you stop the dog from being able to lick at or worry at treated areas, small bits of ingestion would not hurt most animals. Per the product label: Clip hair from around affected areas and apply SULFODENE freely with an applicator such as cotton or soft, clean cloth twice a day. If condition does not improve within one week, consult your veterinarian.
