    Money Well Spent!

    By John on 05/18/2013

    Verified Purchase

I Bought this and the 1 gal. mixing jug last April. My wife and I bought our house in 2007 and after removing the exterior brush - Found we had a termite problem, a stink bug problem, spider issues along with ants and yellow jackets galore. My wife was so disgusted and grossed out, she almost left! So we got a service that said they would take care of everything "don't worry; if you have an emergency, we'll be right over - all included, and you will never see a bug in your home again!" That was a bunch of lies and a big waste of money. I found DMOPC one night when I was just about to give up - and thought the Suspend Polyzone was less expensive than the useless service that didn't work, so I had nothing to lose, right? Well we gained, peace of mind and I re-gained a happy wife. We went from having swarms of stink bugs crawling up the exterior walls and spent too much time catching the ones that got in the house - to, now only seeing a few here or there outside; and maybe one or two live ones as well as many more dead ones inside the house. Now, when the spiders and ants begin to reappear we know it is time to do another spraying (so far that has been every 6 months). As for the yellow jackets - well they just don't like our house as much anymore, especially when we find and spray down a nest during treatment, they crawl out of the nest and die immediately. As for termites we haven't seen a mud trail since, and we still have the bait/test stations left by the previous service - and haven't seen any new activity since we have been doing our own pest control spraying the Suspend Polyzone! Following the instructions and mixing in the recommended one gallon spray jug goes a long way to treat both the interior and exterior of our oversized cape. The one pint of Suspend Polyzone is just at the half way point and should last for another year. Do the math - so called professional service cost nearly $1,000 per year versus $100.00 to do two years of DMOPC this way(if you don't buy the recommended jug it is less than $50.00 for 2 years). So happy to have realized we are saving close to $2000.00! Can't beat that!

    Suspend Polyzone

    By Dan on 09/17/2012

    Verified Purchase

This is the only product that I've used so far that really does kill stink bugs. When I first used it I didn't think it worked so I called DoMyOwnPestControl and asked them why it wasn't getting rid of the bugs. I told them that I sprayed it right on some of the bugs and they didn't fall down. They told me that it didn't knock them down instantly but they assured me that it does work. Here it is two weeks later, all I can say is that IT REALLY DOES WORK. Yes there are very few stink bugs coming around and they don't seem to stay very long. I also find dead ones laying around the house. And it is residual. I sprayed two weeks ago and they are still dropping like all over the place. And a PS here - DMOPC is a great company to deal with.

    No more bugs!

    By Anonymous on 07/24/2013

    Verified Purchase

Received this 3 days after ordering. Mixed using .75 ounce per gallon and sprayed the inside and outside of my pole barn where I had a ton of spiders and other bugs. The next morning when I went out there were dead bugs everywhere! It's been 10 days and I have not seen a bug since. If this truly lasts for 3 months I'll be extremely happy. I'll try and update this after 90 days to give to give a review of the lasting effects.

    suspend polyzone

    By Dave on 08/19/2012

i think bayer finally got it right with suspend polyzone. i didn't have much faith in or success with the original formula, but adding the polymer seems to be working as good as advertised. i even understand bayer's looking into adding this polymer to some of their other sc products. well done!

Questions & Answers

Have a question about this product?

Sort Questions
Q
Is Suspend Polyzone Insecticide labeled to treat leaf cutter ants?
A

Suspend Polyzone Insecticide may only kill the ants that come in contact with a treated area. It is not taken back to the nest. Leaf cutter ants can be a difficult pest to get rid of. The colonies are large and the ants make their own food so poison baits only have limited effects on this species of ants. According to several university websites, Maxforce Complete Granules containing hydramethlynon are some what effective, though they will usually eliminate only about 30% of a large colony in one treatment and will need to be reapplied several times.  DeltaGard granules is one of the only products actually labeled for leaf cutter ants. The product label recommends treating the mound directly and lightly watering the granules in. Again, it may take several treatments to get the desired results. We also recommend contacting your local cooperative extension office to see if they have any recommendations for products that have worked for other people in your region.

Q
How fast should you move the sprayer wand when spraying Suspend Polyzone around house foundation?

My former bug service sprayed very fast unlike all the videos I’ve look at on line, although our house didn’t seem to have any bugs here in northern Florida with his service. He applied 1/4 quart of mixed solution around our 1,900 sq. ft. house. What is the appropriate speed to apply? Don’t want to waist it by using too much, or not effective by using too little.

A

When applying Suspend Polyzone Insecticide it is just a light application to areas applying until wet but not dripping.  We have an outdoor perimeter spraying video that can help show how fast to apply and other tips.

Q
What product can I use to kill eye gnats on contact and resually

I use a backpack sprayer. I manage a 1.5 acre portrait park.

A
While a product like Suspend Polyzone could potentially help reduce flying insects, unfortunately chemical applications generally have little affect on these insects. It is important to use personal insect repellents and face masks for horses and other livestock. Wound care is also critical as these insects can cause infections. You may also look at reducing organic matter such as cleaning up manure promptly and reducing loose soil matter.

Q
Can suspend polyzone be mixed with lambda 9.7 cs?
A
Suspend Polyzone Insecticide & lamdba 9.7 should not be tank mixed together. Apply one or the other as directed on the label to the listed areas.

Q
I am looking to get rid of cutter bees.

These cutter bees have ruined my St Joseph Roses and just about every other rose bush in my back yard. How can I get rid of them? All my plants are ornaments also with the exception of two new Ponderosa Lemon Trees.

A
Unfortunately, insecticides really are not effective on these bees since they only cut the leaves and do not chew on them. This article has a few non-chemical suggestions to help reduce damage to desirable plants.

Q
Japanese beetles

I don't see Japanese beetles explicitly on the label. I do see it on the suspend SC label and I saw a Q&A that said Japanese beetles were covered by suspend SC. Does suspend poly zone work on Japanese beetles?

A
Suspend Polyzone is labeled for a variety of different beetles but not Japanese beetles. It's only labeled for multi-colored Asian lady beetles. Suspend SC is labeled for Japanese beetles though.

Q
Does the microencapsulation in Suspend Polyzone Insecticide clog sprayers or harden inside tanks, powerspray hose lines, and filters?

I love Fendona but it tends to harden and clog in tanks, powerspray hose lines, filters, and Dosatron systems quite badly. Does Bayer's micoencapsulation formulation offer better resistance to clumping and clogging in powersprayer systems?

A

Fendona CS Controlled Release Insecticide nor Suspend Polyzone Insecticide are labeled for use in delivery systems or irrigation systems which could possibly be why you are having issues with hardening, clogging and not being able to spray. If spray screens are used, they should be 50 mesh or larger.

When using boom sprayer equipment, backpack sprayers or even hand pump sprayers, the mixed solution needs to be used within 24 hrs as after 24 hrs, the active ingredient begins to break down and no longer stays in suspension. Agitating the sprayer occassionally is recommended to ensure an even mixture or if spraying is interrupted or if the dilution is left in the sprayer overnight.

Q
Can Suspend Polyzone Insecticide be used on Juniper trees (Evergreens) to control bagworms?
A

Suspend Polyzone is labeled for use on ornamental trees such as your Junipers, however this is not labeled for bagworms. We suggest Talstar P for control of bagworms. Be sure to treat before the insects form new cocoons in late summer.

Would Suspend Polyzone Insecticide be recommended for an all around general purpose pest control insecticide that has a long residual, no odor and doesn't stain?
A

Yes, Suspend Polyzone Insecticide would be the longest lasting general purpose inseciticide providing a 90 day residual outdoors as well as indoors for the most common household insects.

This is a water based insecticide that doesn’t stain, doesn’t have an odor and dries clear when applied per the product label. View the full product label for more information and application rates.

Q
Can Suspend Polyzone Insecticide and Masterline be tank mixed together?
A

Unfortunately, since we do not carry Masterline, we are not familiar with the product label and tank mixing options therefore would not be able to advise on the compatibility with Suspend Polyzone Insecticide.

You may contact the manufacturer of Suspend Polyzone at 1-800-331-2867. They may be able to advise if their product can be mixed with another. Thank you.
