Caught one is less than an hour
By Guy on 08/23/2011
I saw all the positive reviews and thought this was worth a try. I watched the video and followed the directions - but I didn't wait 24 hours to set the trap. I figured I would go ahead and set it and give it a try and took a guess as to which tunnel was active. My soil was very dry so it was a little challenging to set at first, but I found a good spot and got it set. In less than an hour I caught my first mole. Very impressed - let the war on moles begin!

The Best Mole Trap...period!!
By S.g. on 10/01/2011
I had a mole tearing up my lawn...after setting the Talpirid Mole TRAP I caught it within 24 hours! DONE! Very easy and effective! I love this trap! I've recommended it to 3 of my friends and they have purchased it also. One friend said he would sit and watch for it to spring...BAM...he got his mole! I think this is th easiest and most effective trap on the market! I love it!! Thanks for saving my lawn!!

The Best Yet
By Ken on 12/23/2012
I have tried two different types of mole traps; this was my third!! I am happy to report the video was right on.....after setting my trap as the video show I was still somewhat weary if it would work at all since the others did not. WOW was I surprised on my first set....BAM the trap was tripped and what a big mole. It was no wonder my other traps failed, the mole was too big for the smaller traps. DON'T waste your money on smaller traps. Setting the trap is very easy. You will not go wrong by buying the Talpirid!!

Strange looking, but it works.
By Mike on 11/11/2013
Caught my first mole on the first set. Pretty impressive. You need a flat shovel in order to make the correct cut to install the trap easily. A rounded shovel makes for a difficult installation. Once I figured this out, it's a snap to use.

Trying to rid my yard of at least 2 maybe 3 moles. Sandy soil is not conducive to this style trap, whereas it rides up and can't do it's job the way the trap was intended to work. Maybe, an area which has more firm soil or clay would work for this trap. Haven't given up just yet, coming up with ideas to stake it down.

A friend loaned us her mole traps & in 1 week we caught 7. We had a lot of moles since our property is surrounded by fields. We had tried other traps & options but these traps are great Since catching 7 we haven't had anymore. We bought the traps for future use. Highly recommend them.

Customer Service
By Keith on 12/27/2016
Received a trap in the mail that had obviously been used before. I called the company to report the discrepancy and a spokesperson for the company apologized, scheduled me for a replacement, and informed me that due to the inconvenience, I did not have to return the used trap. I used the original trap for a week while waiting for the replacement and caught nothing. When the new one arrived, I caught a mole in less than 24 hours.

Talpirid Mole Trap
By Jerry on 01/05/2020
I have a relatively large yard (1 ½ acres) and moles were a terrible problem. I have a water filled roller and I sometimes had to roll the mole tunnels down before I could mow the grass. I tried several things (pellets, poison worms, milky spore) and nothing worked. I bought four of the traps and things got better quickly. I watched the video of how to use the trap but had trouble getting them to set correctly using my foot due to wet, clay type soil. I bought a 7” scraper from the local Lowe's and used it to make two slits in the soil perpendicular to the tunnel so the jaws could move. Rather than making an indention with my heel I used the round end of the scraper to make a divot directly over the tunnel between the two slits. I then 'cocked' the trap (I placed it on my ATV and pushed it down by hand) and gently rocked it back and forth while making sure the 'trigger' was in the divot I had created. I got five moles in the first two weeks. I used my water filled roller behind my ATV to flatten existing tunnels, then, the next day, I set the traps on the tunnels that came back. I was sitting on my porch after doing this and heard one of the traps spring! Once I had trapped a couple of moles, I used the roller, then set the traps again. I will keep repeating this until the tunnels do not come back. Once that happens, I will keep an eye out for new tunnels. I did some research on the internet and found that moles are solitary animals and do not share tunnels. If you have several different areas of tunnels like I did you probably have several moles.

Really Works
By Adam on 05/06/2011
I opened package when I got home from work and set it out about 8 pm. Pretty easy to set. Took dog out at 10:30 before bed and already had one. I couldn't believe it. I probably got lucky and found a fresh tunnel too but I was shocked.

The battle I lost...
By Peter on 09/14/2011
I ordered two of them and received couple weeks ago. After battle with the moles for 2 weeks, I declare I have lost the war. Basically, the trap is hard to set and it won't even trap the mole. I tried each 4-5 times and mole is just keep poping up next to the trap without triggle it. Now the trap is in my garbage can... I thought BELL LAB would do some awesome job, but this one is big failure.

Talpirid Mole Trap
By Mike on 09/16/2011
I've had my trap for over a month. It's not easy to operate and after several ankle-twisting attempts to trap moles in my yard, the little varmints are still having their way with my yard. The trap has not 'trapped' anything, let alone any moles. Therefore, I have determined that it does not work and it now has become a 'conversation piece' along with the two bat houses (@ $375) my wife talked me into purchasing years ago. The worms seem to work, but the trap seems to be useless.

Talpirid Mole tap
By Donald on 11/30/2011
We have sandy soil but the trap is hard to set. Have to use my hand to set it and it snaps back and hurts your hand. Does not set using your foot. Not worth the price. Best to go with the mole traps that go into the tunnels. Hated to give it one star.
