I've used Talstar for 6 years on my Tampa FL lawn to eliminate mole crickets and chinch bugs. It worked great! Had so many compliments on my lawn. Last year it just seemed to stop working I applied it numerous times. Did the ingredients change?

This is the first time we’ve used this product. We used to get another brand but the store we were getting it from changed its hours and made it very difficult to get to. Compared the ingredients and it was exactly the same. Previous product killed everything for months. This one has not given the same results. It’s lessened them but you still can see activity and several ant hills have popped up since applying this.

We were excited to try this product but we were disappointed with its effectiveness. Ants are tough, though. Maybe we can find another product on this site!

This product seems to control every insect on the planet except grub worms which is whats eating up my grass. They're the number one pest in my area of Florida that destroys St. Augustine. So next time I'll skip this product and use a systematic approach.

Please note - my rating is based on still have way too many ants hills in our yard. It could be our lawn and not the product. I am going to try something else and see if another product works. I have always purchased from DoMyOwn and never dissatisfied with any products.

seems to work on insects but seems not to work on "Carpenter Ants". Tried to follow instruction but the ants are still marching up and down my pine trees in great numbers. Will have to try something else.

So I started with the recommended rate for the size of my yard spreading it twice to make sure I got coverage. I seemed sparse so I ended up putting the rest on. Maybe it is not as strong as what the pest control guy uses but I still have signs of mole cricket tunnels.

3 weeks after applying I am still seeing a good amount of ants .

First year for using the product. Been fertilizing the lawn the last three years and seeing results. This spring, found an areas in the lawn with ant mounds. This might explain finding ants in the house, but I want them gone. Researched what was best to use, and Talstar XTRA was highly rated. Applied Talstar with broadcast spreader, watered it in, and a week later noticed the mounds were disappearing. Still too soon to give Talstar a thumbs up, but time will tell

I much prefer the Telstar PL. For me the extra just doesn't seem to work as well.
