Tempo SC does kill adults, but we do recommend to mix in Nyguard IGR to break down the reproductive cycle. Please also visit the Flea Guide for helpful tips and videos.
Tempo SC Ultra should be applied outdoors for fleas. It does have a 4 week residual. Please take a few moments to review our treatment article on How to Get Rid of Fleas for a successful eradication program.
Tempo SC Ultra will leave a killing residual to prevent wasps from nesting. It can be applied in the attic to cracks and crevices. Dilute at 16ml per gallon water.
Tempo SC is a mostly clear-drying product; however if it is over mixed, over applied/saturated in one area, and allowed to pool up it can leave a milky white residue behind. We would recommend either spraying it on a small inconspicuous spot first to see how the residual shows, or going with a product like Alpine WSG which mixes completely clear in water and dries clear.
Tempo SC is not recommended to be used inside the home to treat for Bird Mites. There are a few key steps you need to do before using any insecticides. Please read our How to Get Rid of Bird Mite Article for product recommendations and how to treat for this pest. We also recommend contacting your local extension office with a sample of the mite for treatment options in your area.
Tempo SC Ultra is not a selective insecticide and it will kill honeybees if it is sprayed in places where honey bees are foraging. Tempo SC cannot be used on raspberry plants. Instead you may consider using something like Bayer Advanced Fruit, Citrus and Vegetable Insect Control. This product is not selective either so it is important to not spray in areas where the bees are actively foraging. Do not harvest fruit until at least 7 days after application.
Tempo SC Ultra is not a true "repellent," so it will not keep insects such as ticks away. The only way to do this would be to seal up all cracks and crevices that allow them access inside. Tempo can be used as a barrier spray to help kill ticks that come into contact with treated surfaces. Please take a few moments to review our article on How to Get Rid of Ticks for more detailed information on how to implement a successful control program for this pest.
We do not recommend for Tempo SC Ultra to be mixed with any other reacting chemical such as Ammonia or Rubbing Alcohol. Please give us a call at 866-581-7378 and we would be happy to give you a recommendation based on whatever pest you're dealing with.
It is recommended to use protective equipment such as a long sleeve shirt, gloves, pants, boots and a light mask such as the N 5 Valved Respirator Mask? or even the Comfo Classic Respirator Mask.
Tempo SC Ultra will kill June Bugs. It does not leach into the soil to kill grubs. Please visit our Grub Control page for the most up to date tips and recommendations for Grub control.
Tempo SC Ultra could harm lightning bugs/fireflies if they land on a treated surface long enough to receive a lethal dosage.
Tempo SC Ultra should be used within 24 hours after it is mixed with water.
