Temprid FX Insecticide is a multi-purpose suspension concentrate insecticide that can be used both indoors and outside. The FX stands for ‘flexibility’ because Temprid FX can be used on a large variety of insects in many settings. Combining the fast-acting power of beta-cyfluthrin and the transferal power of imidacloprid, Temprid FX can be used to combat ants, bed bugs, cockroaches, flies, spiders, and more. Target treat your home in places where pests have been spotted or give the outside of your home a perimeter spray (3 feet up and 3 feet out around the foundation of the home) to prevent future infestations.
Temprid FX Benefits:
Temprid FX Insecticide replaces Temprid SC, which has been discontinued. Temprid FX contains the same active ingredients as Temprid SC, but with a new expanded label that allow for the treatment of mosquitos and use on ornamentals.

Temprid FX is a dual-active suspension concentrate insecticide with two powerful active ingredients, beta-cyfluthrin and imidacloprid. Both active ingredients target the nervous system of pests. The ingredients are co-milled, meaning pests are exposed to both ingredients with every application. Beta-cyfluthrin, a pyrethrin, kills quickly while imidacloprid provides a slower kill. Imidacloprid is used for its transferal properties where a pest that is affected can transfer the product onto an untreated pest. This makes Temprid FX great for roaches, ants, and other social colony pests.
Ants, bed bugs, blue or green bottle flies, boxelder bugs, brown marmorated stink bugs, carpet beetles, centipedes, clothes moths, clover mites, cluster flies, cockroaches, phorid flies, pill bugs, sciarid flies (fungus gnats), silverfish, sow bugs, spiders, wasps, western conifer seed bugs, yellow jackets, hide beetles, hornets, house flies, kudzu (globular stink) bugs, leather beetles, midges, millipedes, moths, multicolored Asian lady beetles, crickets, darkling beetles, dermestids, earwigs, elm leaf beetles, elm seed bugs, firebrats, flesh flies, flies, fruit flies, gnats
Temprid FX can be used indoors as a spot treatment or as a crack and crevice spray, and outdoors as a perimeter treatment and general surface spray. Temprid FX will not stain and has a low-odor. Always read the product label completely before use. Temprid FX can be used on ornamentals (flowering plants) when they are not in bloom and under soffits, eaves, and outdoor awnings.
To use Temprid FX, mix solution with water in a sprayer and shake vigorously before use. See chart below for correct dilution mixes. Remove all children and pets from area to be sprayed. After treatment, wait 1-2 hours for solution to dry before allowing children and pets back into the treated area. Temprid FX will last for 30 days outdoors and 90 days indoors, but can be applied every 7 to 10 days as needed if there is high pest pressure or bad weather conditions present.
Dilution Mixes
Indoor Use
Temprid FX can be used in the following areas indoors:
Bed Bugs
Temprid FX is a great product to use when treating for bed bugs because it can be used before heat treatments. Bed bug eggs that are treated directly with Temprid FX are killed outright while young nymphs that emerge from eggs are killed by dried residue.
Outdoor Use
Temprid FX can be used in the following outdoor areas:
To protect honey bees, only spray Temprid FX when pollinators are not active and there is no wind to carry Temprid FX toward pollinators.
Wood-Infesting Pests
For wood-infesting pests, including drywood termites, carpenter ants, carpenter bees and powder post beetles, use a mixture of 8ml (0.27 fluid ounces) of Temprid FX per 1 gallon of water. Apply where pests have been seen or found. Mixture can be applied with a sprayer, brushes, or rollers (all sold separately). Consult product label for specific applications.
TEMPRID FX IS THE FUTURE FOR BED BUGS
By Jason on 09/06/2017
My company has been using Temprid SC for almost 3 Years now we do about 20-30 Bed bug Extermination's a day in Michigan Temprid SC Has been very good to us with great results and it will be a great choice! But with all that being said Temprid FX Is the future for our company! They say it's the same formula but there is a difference I don't know what it is but there is a difference! Bed Bug knock down times are extermly faster almost immediate we almost couldn't believe it so we stayed and watched after being sprayed the bed bugs did not move at all they were dead soon as we seen the results we knew that this chemical would be the future. We used this in over 10 homes so far today in the Detroit area same results every time! Got to get back to work guys!

Miracle Solution!
By Nicole on 11/24/2017
I received this product and a few others 4 weeks after first discovering bedbugs, after trying several other cheap methods. I did 1-2 rooms per day. I removed all items that could be washed and dried twice, I put un-washable knick-knacks, lamps, pictures, books, etc into totes and placed in center of room. I sprayed perimeters of floors, ceilings, window casings, under and behind furniture and the items in my totes. I also used bedlam in furniture seams, and topped the room off with cimexa dust. I did not put fabrics/unnecessary tote items back into the room. I repeated the vacuum, spray, dust process after one week and slowly returned some items. Have not seen a single live bug or bite since first treatments! One month bug free!

Temptid FX

I know baits work because roaches eat them, go back to the nest and die and the other roaches eat the dead roaches causing collateral damage but do sprays do the same thing? If they step on the dried up sprays, how do they die and spread it?
Temprid FX Insecticide will stay active for up to 90 days indoors and for about 30 days outdoors. It will kill insects that come in contact with a treated surface for that amount of time and will also have a slight transfer effect like a bait with one of the actives, Imidacloprid.

I want the roach to bring it back to the nest
No, both Gentrol IGR and Temprid FX Insecticide are considered non-repellents even when mixing them together. If you were to add more than the labeled rate, then it would become a repellent.
Does this work on flying cockroaches? And does it work for the black roaches, the ones they call water bugs?
Temprid FX Insecticide is a great product for all roaches including the American Roach (water bugs) and should do a good job towards helping you eliminate the infestation. However, if the infestation is severe, it should not be the sole product used. We would recommend using one of our Roach Control Kits for best results. You may want to look over our Roach Treatment Guide for more information.

I have two questions, and a little bit of background. I discovered my neighbors have bedbugs, and are doing absolutely nothing to treat them. They had UNCOVERED mattresses outside on a balcony-like area about 12 feet from my house (detached properties, single family homes) for at least 36 hours. I know bedbugs don’t live outside typically, but I want to protect my home. 1) I sprayed Temprid FX around the perimeter (foundation AND ground) of my house, and then about 6-8 hours later got a bit of light snow. It will be melting soon, so will it reduce the efficacy or even remove the insecticide? I believe it had time to dry before the snow hit. 2) How effective is Temprid FX if applied to ground that is slightly damp? Thanks in advance
Temprid FX Insecticide should not be applied during rain or snow. It could be washed away before having time to dry. Bed bugs are not known to move between detached houses so treating preventatively outside is not recommended nor required.
We do not suggest treating damp soil with Temprid FX or any other insecticides. For best results, apply in dry conditions and when rain is not expected for 24 hours.
Or should I give it a decent soaking?
Apply Temprid FX Insecticide using foliar, spot, spray, mist, foam, crack and crevice or void applications. See Label for specific instructions for applying particular application methods . Here is a video you may find useful for application instrusctions.
Can I spray in the same room as my snake if I’m not spraying next to the tank or is it safer to remove the snake from the room spraying? Also how long until I can move the snake back?
Make sure all animals are removed from the area at the time of applying Temprid FX Insecticide. Let the treated areas completely dry before letting the animals back in, best to allow several hours and air out the area well.
Treating for roaches. Exotic birds (Caiques, Conures, Amazons) in house. Should they be removed from the room? or the house? when applying the Tempered FX mostly due if there is an odor? They are in cages, well above the baseboards and would not be in contact with the Temprid
Generally when spraying with Temprid FX Insecticide, pets should be removed from the room while spraying & may return once the product has dried. Since these are exotic birds though, we would recommend checking with your vet to make sure that it is okay that they are only removed from a room. Birds in general can be super sensitive to products and need to be completely out of treatment areas for several hours. Regarding the smell, the product does state it has a low odor but it should go away by the time the product dries. You may also open the windows to help dissipate the smell quicker
What approximate time would be considered safe re entry for children/pets after application indoors? Approximate dry time?
As long as you keep pets/children out of the area while you treat and until the Temprid FX Insecticide has had time to completely dry or settle there is a reduced risk for children and pets. typically after an hour inside and 4-6 hours outside.

Temprid FX Insecticide is a concentrate that does need to be mixed with water but only as a foliar spray as directed. It cannot be used as a systemic drench. If you tell us what you are treating for, we can make a recommendation of a systemic drench to fit your needs.
Temprid FX is over 4 times more expensive per fl oz than Bifen IT. I get that the residual effects of Bifen IT last about half that of Temprid FX. If they work about the same overall, wouldn't it make sense to just use Bifen IT? What are your thoughts on this?
Temprid FX would be the best insecticide to use for active roach infestations due to the 2 active ingredients and dual modes of action it uses. Bifen IT would be suggested for general maintenance or preventative applications but not the recommended product if you have active roaches.
Active roach infestations require a combination of products and repeat treatments every 7-14 days to eradicate. Using a residual spray alone will not fully eradicate a roach colony. We recommend one of our Roach Control Kits to provide you with a residual insecticide, roach bait and insect growth regulator to help stop the reproduction. These kits provide enough products for the initial treatment as well as 2-3 follow up treatments.

Yes, Temprid FX is a residual insecticide for both indoors and outdoors. Indoors, for general pest prevention, the residual is 90 days and for outdoors, the residual is 30 days. For active infestations, retreatments can be reapplied as needed but not more than every 7 days.
