Tenax 7'x100' fence
By Tm on 04/07/2020
I bought this Tenax 7'x100' fence to build a linear fence blocking an opening of 90' between two corner trees. The kit did not come with an instruction. The sticker on the posts recommended driving 1.5' into the ground. I used a rubber mallet to hammer them. After about 8” into the ground the top of the stakes began to give away. So I could only have them 8” into the ground. The net was shipped folded in half and rolled up, so one could not tie one end to the first post, unless you unrolled it. Managing a 100' unrolled net would be a nightmare. I ended up using a 100' string tied across the top of the 10 posts, and hung the net up first, with another person helping, and then unfolded the net. Then I could tie the net to the post. The two end posts, because there was only tension on one side, would lean and give away. I added two 5' metal posts to the end posts to give them extra strength. I nailed the extra net at the two ends to the trees to give the end posts a balance pull. Now the fence is up, but it took extra materials to make it work. Without the end trees anchoring, I am not sure it will stand either. Obviously, the company making it has never put one up themselves.
