The Tomahawk 4 ft. Animal Control pole is made of sturdy, lightweight tempered aluminum for fatigue free operation, has a long durable slip free grip for that "grip anywhere" capability, an automatic locking mechanism, a quick release knob and a 360 degree kink resistant head. The included noose is a braided and coated wire cable that will not harm the animal. The 4ft length allows you to get into tight spaces, yet lets you stay at a safe distance from the animal being controlled. Animal Control Poles are a must for animal handlers. Poles can be used for animal rescue or animal restraint. Model ACP4. Weighs 2.1 pounds.

This is almost exactly what the shelter uses where I volunteer. This tool is excellent when the animal is clearly not interested in being captured for their own good. It keeps the animal at a safe distance so you can get the animal into a crate or transport unit.
