Protecta Pest Monitor is a reusable, plastic monitoring box used with Protecta MC Glue boards to monitor for both mice and insects. Basically the monitor gives you a tamper-resistant glue board station that will catch anything from mice to spiders and other creepy crawlies. Just place the glue board in the Pest Monitor's base and use the clips to hold the glue board firmly in place. Insects can access Protecta Pest Monitor from holes on all four sides. Mice enter through the two larger holes that are close to the wall. To block mice from entering the monitor, you may simply rotate Pest Monitor's top, covering the two larger holes and preventing entry. One protecta key is included to open the stations.
Please note: Protecta Pest Monitors do NOT come with glue boards. Protecta MC Glue boards are sold separately.

suggestion for improvement

The horizontal openings should be made smaller (less high - perhaps one-eighth inch) so as to prevent the entrance of lizards while still allowing the entrance of insects. I want to use the monitors outside my doors to trap scorpions, but unfortunately I immediately captured a gecko inadvertently.

We have a carpet beetle infestation in 4 story townhouse w/unfinished basement 2 exterior decks and pets. We also have other things -possibly bird and rodent mites, 2 window wells in front and back close to landscaping which have leaked w/rainfall. Awful problems
The Protecta Pest Monitors are just insect glueboards that are in a protective station. They will catch any insect that walks into the station, so you can "monitor" the insect activity in your home. The stations are great especially if kids or pets are in the home. The station will protect the glue board from kids or pets getting into the glue and they will only let insects inside.
