Yard Gard Armadillo Repellent 20 lb pail is made with all natural ingredients with no harmful chemicals to prevent armadillos from damaging the lawns and gardens by digging or rooting animals. It does not harm armadillos and is safe to use around families and pets. Made with a time release formula, it will keep armadillos away for months and will not wash away like liquid repellents. The granules are formulated with active ingredients and are covered in a hard shell coating, once watered, the ingredients are lodged into the soil to form a 1 to 2 foot barrier protecting armadillos from smelling grubs and worms. It does not contain predator urine that can cause fear and confusion in pets. Use with a broadcast or drop spreader in lawns, gardens, mulched areas and shrubs. This product comes in a 20 lb pail and covers 5,000 sq. ft.
Yard Gard Armadillo Repellent has recently begun to transition from 20 lb bags to 20 lb pails. You may receive either during the transition.

COVERAGE
This package size of 20 lbs. (9.1 kg) will cover approximately 5,000 square feet at a medium spreader setting. One application at medium flow rate should perform satisfactorily. This product affects the animals' sense of smell and taste, which conditions the animal to forage elsewhere; it does not kill the animal. Since you are conditioning a wild animal, the exact number of animals foraging in the treated areas is usually unknown; additional applications may be necessary in 30 days in order to condition all animals involved. Heavy or thick layers or dead grass may inhibit the product granules from contacting the soil/ground and interfere with dispersing the ingredients into the soil; if this is the case, remove excess dead grass prior to the application of Yard Gard.

I've been using this product for over eight years and it works if you follow the directions to a tee. For best results place just before it rains that way you won't run up your water bill:)
