Shady areas would be treated the same as non shady areas. Â Apply 4-Speed XT as directed on the product label for your turf type.
Per the manufacturers label they advise not apply 4-Speed XT when air temps exceed 80 degrees to avoid turf injury. If temps do exceed 80 degrees they suggest only spot treatments as long as the turf is not already in stress.Â

4-Speed XTÂ should be applied when the weeds are actively growing and when temperatures are between 56-85 degrees.Â
After applying 4-Speed XT pets should remain out of the treated area until the product has had time to dry completely. After the product has dried pets can resume normal activity.Â
