Imidacloprid is the active ingredient you will need to systemically control whitefly on your palms. Adonis would be the product of choice for soil drench applications for whitefly infestations. It can take a few weeks for the Adonis to translocate through tall trees and you will most likely continue to see whiteflies in that time period. While you are waiting on the imidacloprid to translocate you should treat the foliage with a product such as Talstar P or with insectidical soap or insecticidal oil.

Root/soil drenches offer the advantage of requiring no special equipment to apply (other than a bucket or watering can). However, surface layers of organic matter, such as mulch or leaf litter, can bind the insecticide and reduce uptake. Before applying drenches, it is important to remove or pull back any mulch or dead leaves so the insecticide solution is poured directly on the mineral soil. It is also important to keep the soil around the tree or shrub moist for the next 7-10 days after applications to encourage uptake. We also recommend using a product with an active ingredient that is different than the soil drench for a foliage application while you are waiting for the Adonis to translocate through the ficus. Talstar P is the most popular choice for foliage application on ficus for white fly.

The active ingredient in this product has enough residual activity so that applications can be made preceding the egg laying activity. Application timing can be based on historical monitoring of the site, previous records or experiences, current season adult trapping or other methods. Most favorable control will be achieved when applications are made prior to egg hatch of the target pests, followed by sufficient irrigation or rainfall to move the active ingredient through the thatch.

We have a dog that is always rolling in the grass and wonder if it will be safe for him after it dries? This year we had 80+ cicada killer nests and need to do something!

Soil Drench: Apply uniformly as a drench around the base of the tree in not less than 10 gallons of water per 1000 square feet. Direct application to the root area. Remove plastic or any other barrier that will stop solution from reaching the root zone.

Typically, a soil drench aplication of the Adonis 2F will last 6-12 months, but usually only one application is needed per year. It is recommended that you perform your treatment in early spring when nutrient uptake is optimal

I was reading How to perform a termite treatment and saw that it stated Suspend would last 10 years and Dominion 7 years. Is there a figure for Adonis 75 WSP( or Premise 75 or Imaxx Pro)? Hello, I am looking at spraying my back yard for grubs and have about 15,000 square feet. I have a tow behind sprayer and must importantly two dogs. The use of accurately calibrated equipment normally used for the application of turfgrass insecticides is required. Use equipment which will produce a uniform, coarse droplet spray, using a low pressure setting to eliminate off target drift. Check calibration periodically to ensure that equipment is working properly

How can I mix the Adonis 2F to make an application for fleas & ticks ON my dogs?
I want to use Adonis instead of Advantage on my dogs.

You CANNOT use Adonis on your animals in place of a topical flea and tick product. While these products may share a common active ingredient, the formulation is very different and you can cause substantial harm, even death if you apply Adonis to your animals.

How many times a year do I treat my trees with Adonis 2F Insecticide/Termiticde?
I treated my Aspen trees for soft scale with a soil soak in June of this year and was wondering if I should treat again this year or wait until next year for second treatment?

Since you control scale insects when they are on the move which is in the late winter and spring you would wait until then to use the Adonis 2F insecticide/Termiticide again. We recommend checking with you local Extension Office to get a better exact time frame for treating in your area.
