The manufacturer of Advion Cockroach Gel Bait has recently changed how they mark the product with the release date. Per the manufacturer it does have a 5 year shelf life from this date.

There is no valid reason to mix bait gels. It will not increase effectivess. You can certainly alternate between Advion Cockroach Gel Bait and Maxforce Impact Roach Gel Bait. The active ingedient in Advion Cockroach Gel Bait is a non repellent that is slow acting. This allows roaches to feed on the bait, take bait back to the colony and transfer to other roaches. We would recommend not killing or disturbing roaches and allow them to continue their normal activity to ensure the bait is taken bait to colony and transfered. Any dead roaches can be removed.
Per the label: Advion Cockroach Gel Bait may also be applied as a spot or thin bead to pest entry sites such as along windows, doors, between construction elements, sewer areas, adjacent trees which harbor cockroaches, along walls, garbage holding areas, or suitable placement site acting as a cockroach harborage. Place baits in such a way as to reduce the potential of subsequent human contact. Inspect Advion Cockroach Gel Bait placements periodically and apply fresh bait as needed. A thorough inspection around a structure may reveal areas where cockroaches are gaining access. Attempts should be made to remove the access.
Advion Roach Bait Gel will not kill crickets as it is only labeled for roaches. The most effective means of controlling crickets is by applying baits such as InTice or Niban. Advion Roach bait will not kill Carpenter ants. Phantom would be a great product to use. Pests can't even detect Phantom, so they walk right over it and then spread it to other insects hidden behind walls or in their home colony, killing every other pest they come in contact with. If you know where the ant nest is, then you can spray it directly. Be sure to keep the spray away from your bait. Spray low bait high.
Advion Roach Bait Gel is a very good option for roaches. This product can be used indoors and outdoors for roach control. Outdoor, we would recommend using Advion in bait plate stations.
The fact that you have seen different stages of the lif cycle, we recommend still baiting. We would also recommend to incorporate an IGR like Gentrol to breakdown the reproductive cycle.
