When using Advion Cockroach Gel Bait, it is recommended to do small spots of bait per the instructions below. It is not recommended to place lines of the product, only small dots about the size of a pencil eraser. If you’re placing the gel on a porous surface, it’s recommended to place the bait on something non-porous like a piece of aluminum foil or tape to prevent the bait from drying out too quickly.

Advion Cockroach Gel should be applied to areas frequented by cockroaches such as between different elements of construction, between equipment and floors, openings leading into voids and hollow spaces in floors, walls, ceilings, equipment legs and bases, around plumbing pipes, doors and windows, and behind and under appliances, cabinets, sinks, closets, and any other equipment that cockroaches are typically known to hide. Yes, when used as directed it is safe to use Advion Roach Bait Gel in areas that you would cook and eat as long as it does not contact food prep surfaces or dishes/utensils. Yes, cockroaches are attracted to Advion Roach Bait Gel when they cross paths with where it has been applied, but it will not attracts new roaches that were not already in your home. The product works quickly and efficiently if used properly as the label directs. Gel baits can dry out after two weeks or so, so it does need to be refreshed every couple of weeks.

Advion Cockroach Gel Bait has always been a tan/beige color but now is more brown. There is the Maxforce Impact Roach Gel Bait that is a clean white bait.
The active ingedient in Advion Cockroach Gel Bait is a non repellent that is slow acting. This allows roaches to feed on the bait, take bait back to the colony and transfer to other roaches. We would recommend not killing or disturbing roaches and allow them to continue their normal activity to ensure the bait is taken bait to colony and transfered. Any dead roaches can be removed.

The Advion evolution has different food grade attractants in it, it is suited for places where there is high food competition.

How long it takes to eliminate a roach infestation depends on how large the infestation is, how consistent and thorough you are being with treatments and what products you are using. There is not a set time; it can take but it can take weeks or months even to get complete control. Advion Roach Bait gel is typically not used alone but in combination with other products. Advion Roach Bait Gel would not be the product that we would recommend for this particular pest issue. We would recommend Avert Dry Flowable Cockroach Bait. This formulation woould allow the product to work whether they eat it or just come in contact with the actual powder. When treating for any type of roaches we also recommend treating with an IGR like Gentrol, and an insecticide such as Temprid as well. Most roach infestations need more than one mode of action to get them under control.
