Aegis RP Anchor Bait Station works best with First Strike Soft bait. First Strike Soft Bait is a unique rodenticide bait from Liphatech that is highly effective against rats and mice. This bait is packaged in pails.

How thick is the plastic on the Aegis RP Anchor Bait Station?

The Aegis-RP Anchor Bait Station is the most durable and secure bait station on the market today. This product is the first ever in the bait station market that comes pre-assembled with an attached concrete weight, making sure that this bait station stays where you want it. They will likely not be able to move these because there is concrete in the base of the station. The concrete in the bottom weighs 12 1/2 lbs. The raccoons will learn to stay away from the bait stations because they will be unable to move them. The plastic is about 1/8 inch thick.

You can still purchase first-generation anti-coagulant baits (multi-feed baits) such as Ditrac Blox, or acute kill baits such as Fastrac or Gladiator. Any of these baits will fit in the Aegis RP Station and most other standard bait stations.

The Aegis-RP Anchor Bait Station is the most durable and secure bait station on the market today. This product is the first ever in the bait station market that comes pre-assembled with an attached concrete weight, making sure that this bait station stays where you want it. However, it is possible for a large dog such as a German Shepard to move it if determined (or usually use to getting into items around the structure) but difficult to access the locked interior. The rodents have access in and out of the stations.

Might the very biggest Norway rats be too big to get into this station?
We have two of these stations, but my housemate says the rat she just saw in our yard was too big to be able to get in to our stations. Could this be?? If yes, are larger size bait stations available? (We are in Oregon. We are not near water, so it would not be a nutria.)
