    Is Avid .15ec effective on Bermuda mites??

    Avid is not labeled for Bermuda mites. We apologize we do sell products that are listed for mites, but none that are listed for Bermuda Mites. Please contact your Cooperative Extension Office and speak with the Master Gardener on staff.

    Does Avid kill the soil food, web worms, bacteria, fungi, etc?
    A

    Avid 0.15 EC Miticide Insecticide is only labeled for mites and leaf miners and thrips and would not effect any fungi/bacteria or webworms.

    Does Avid work for in home bird mite infestation?
    A

    Avid 0.15 EC Miticide Insecticide is only for plant infesting mites and cannot be used inside a home for "mites" in general.     Is Avid 0.15 EC Miticide Insecticide applied as a soil drench?

    Avid 0.15 EC Miticide Insecticide is applied to the foliage and is a translaminar systemic which means it is absorbed by the leaves, not the soil.

    Can you apply the Avid 0.15 EC with an inline hose sprayer? If the ratio is .04 oz/gallon how do i mix it?
    Sprayer is not graduated to those small increments. I have to treat two 25 ft. junipers. What is the best way to do this?

    Normally if the mixture is too low you would not be able to use this product in a hose end type sprayer and something like a backpack sprayer that has a reach with its stream closer to 20 feet would be preferred.     Is Avid 0.15 EC Miticide safe to use on tomato plants?
    A

    Avid 015 EC is not labeled for use on tomato plants. We recommend using Mite-E-oil on edible plants such as tomato plants.

    Is there danger of burning if I spray this product during very warm weather?
    I've been told my spider mites thrive in hot, dry weather, but I shouldn't spray them when it is hot and dry, because the spray will damage the trees (alberta pines). Seems like the time to kill them is when they are active--I'm confused. Have not seen this product before and am interested. Thanks

    Will Avid hurt blooms if I spray in early evening?

    When applied as directed on the product label Avid should not harm blooms but be sure it is not applied to heat stressed plants.

    If I left Avid 0.15 EC Miticide Insecticide where it may have frozen over the winter, is it still okay to use?

    If Avid 0.15 EC Miticide Insecticide goes back into suspension, it is fine to use. If the product does not go back into a solution and has particles floating around after the bottle has been agitated, we would not recommend using it.

    Depending on what you are treating, the mixing ratio of Avid 0.15 EC Miticide Insecticide is labeled per 100 gallons at 4oz.
