Bifen IT will effectively get rid of mosquitoes that can spread dangerous diseases like West Nile, the Zika Virus, etc. It is mixed at 1 oz per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft once a month on the exterior areas. Please take a few moments to review our treatment article on How to Get Rid of Mosquitoes for a successful control program.
Yes, you can mix an insecticide like BIfen IT and a fungicide like Honor Guard PPZ together in the same tank as long as niether product label prohibits such mixtures. Be sure always to follow the more restrictive product label and to plan your dilution rates correctly for each product in the volume of water you are using. We suggest a small jar test before mixing a large amount of products together for the first time.
Bifen IT may kill bed bugs that contact the treated area. Keep in mind we would not recommend this product for Bed bug control as certain strains are resistant to the active ingredient. Please check out our Bed Bug Guide. You will find the "How To's" in bed bug control and also a listing of our very effective kits.

According to the Bifen IT product label, Apply 1 fl. oz. per 1,000 square feet when using broadcast treatments. For mound drenches, dilute 1 teaspoon of Bifen IT per gallon of water and use 1 to 2 gallons of finished dilution using sufficient force to penetrate the top and allow dilution to flood ant channels. Treat a four-foot diameter around each ant mound. Application should be made in late evening or early morning when it is cooler (65° - 80° when insects are most active. NOTE: A spray rig calibrated to apply 1 fluid oz. per 1,000 square feet of Bifen I/T in 5 gallons per 1,000 square feet contains the equivalent dilution (1 teaspoon per gallon) required for fire ant mound drenches in the spray tank.
Yes, Bifen IT is labeled for bees and can be used indoors and outdoors around the perimeter of your home. The mixing rate is 1 fl oz per gallon of water. Bifen alone will not eradicate fleas. You will also need to mix in an IGR to break down the reproductive cycle. Bifen kills the adults that come in contact with it, but then you still have the immature fleas growing and then reproducing. It is a constant battle without the IGR. We recommend Nyguard. Treatment should be reapplied after 14 days if needed and may take 2-3 or more applications. Humidity will not effect the Bifen, it can last up to 30 days on outside surfaces.
