Bifen XTS will have a residual of about 4-8 weeks depending on rain and UV rays in the given area. Bifen XTS will not repel insects but instead will kill them within 24 hours of contact.

Read Full Answer »We would not recommend using Bifen XTS at temperatures over 85 degrees as this is an oil based product and can burn plants it comes into contact with under extreme heat. We recommend spraying in early morning or late evening.

Bifen XTS is not labeled for indoor use. We do carry Bifen IT which contains the same active ingredient as the Bifen XTS but is a water based formula.
You can use Bifen XTS in a hose end sprayer as long as it can be set to the correct product/water ratio. We recommend using the Chapin hose end sprayer. This sprayer is super user friendly and can even be set to spray very small concentrations.
You should use the Bifen XTS within 3 years of the date of purchase.
Please wait at least 2 hours or until the Bifen XTS treated area has dried. After completely dried it is safe for people and pets to be around.
Bifen XTS is a good choice for either a broadcast application or for individual mound drenching for fire ants. Be sure to follow the application instructions on the product label.

Bifen XTS is labeled for chiggers. You will use 1/6 fl. oz. per gallon of water. This can be used every 30 days outdoors. Chiggers normally prefer moist habitats such as swamps and bogs, rotten logs and stumps.
The proper dilution rate of Bifen XTS is .32 of an ounce per gallon of water for outside general pest control. One gallon of finished solution will cover approx 1000 sqft. The lineal footage you are referring to is if you are doing a trench for termites.
