An Updated Review
By Steve on 03/27/2014
My first review was 2 stars and I am now giving it 4. I have continued to use Blindside for more than a year now, and although it slows the growth, and yellows my Floratam Saint Augustine it does a good job of controlling a wide variety of weeds (including dollar weed) and the saint Augustine does make a comeback. March is the best time to use it because the temps are low 80s. I have used it with temps in the 90s and it still worked well, it just took a little longer for the grass to make a comeback. And the neighbors are very jealous because my yard is the best in the neighborhood. (My Opinion)

Solid for St. Augustine grass
By Mandy on 04/27/2020
This worked to kill all the weeds in my lawn with one application with the exception of the dallisgrass. I had to spray the dallisgrass in another round before it started to die. It works when used as directed and I recommend it for anyone else trying to get rid of weeds in order to maintain a healthy lawn or fix one.

Works as advertised
By John on 07/31/2020
Applied mid summer in NW Florida to established centipede lawn with a few weak areas. Weeds were concentrated mainly where turf was the weakest and included crabgrass, yellow woodsorrel, yellow nutsedge, green kylinga, buttonweed, chamberbitter, broadleaf plantain and doveweed. Nutsedge was torched within 7 days, most other weeds appeared damaged after 7 days and most were dead after 3 weeks. The centipede grass did have significant browning after 1 week, but has mostly grown out and recovered after 3 weeks. Highs were mid-low 90s which probably caused the discoloration. Crabgrass and broadleaf plantain were largely unnaffected. Will try second application at lower rate to hopefully avoid turf discoloration.

Varied with type of St. Augustine grass
By Joyce on 11/30/2020
Tried this as we have a problem with sandburs. It did kill the weeds! We have two types of St. Augustine and it did well with the Bitter Blue. Our Classic did not weather so good and the damage could be seen. I did read the reviews before purchasing and I am hopeful this will come back with our further testing and treatment. Do My Own has been a big help in maintaining our lawn.

South Louisiana St. Augustine Applied May, 6 2023 1.5" of rain and average of 78 degrees since application No rain for ~30 hours after application then over 1" in 1 day Crabgrass, burweed, dollarweed, doveweed, mock strawberry, spurge & clover. Biggest issues burweed, dollarweed, spurge and clover. Mixed a little lighter than recommended for St. Augustine as I've not used this before. Day 5 the spurge and burweed have been hit hard and the clover is browning as well. Without having the directions in front of me, I believe 2 weeks between the first two applications is recommended and I'll be following up with the full strength recommendation at that time.
