    Q
Can Bora-Care with Mold-Care be fogged? If so, do you sell foggers?
    A

Bora-Care with Mold-Care can only be applied from sprayers, either hand pumped, electric or gas sprayers. This product is too thick to be fogged and will clog most fogging equipment.

Can Bora-Care with Mold-care be used under the floor finish in a basement where ventilation is poor?
    A

Bora-Care with Mold-Care is perfectly safe to use where people will be living and sleeping once it is dry.  You should open windows and possibly wear a respirator while applying the product if there is poor ventilation. Q
What product is best to treat mold?
    A

We carry Boracare with MoldCare. When used as directed, this product will protect treated wood articles from the destructive attack of fungi, mold and mildew. Boracare with Moldcare does not remove the mold stain, for that you will need Mold Clean.

    Q
Mold in the bathroom on walls and ceiling
I have to clean a bathroom next month that has a lot of mold in it. Can Boracare with Mold-Care be applied with a sponge to painted walls or does it have to be sprayed? And will it be possible to apply paint over this or will it take a special coating of some other product first?
    A

Bora-Care with Mold Care is meant for the treatment of wood that has Mold on it.  It is not meant for sheetrock or other parts of the bathroom.  It can also only be applied to unpainted, unsealed wood.  Sheetrock retains a lot of moisture, so the better solution would be to remove the…

    Q
Why don't you remove the link for NY state residents on your Bora-Care with Mold-Care page?
This is confusing, as it makes the viewer believe that it can't be shipped to NY State.
    A

Unfortunately, Boracare with Moldcare is not for sale to New York state residents, which is why the link is in place.

    Q
Can Bora-Care with Mold-Care be used on concrete and soil?
I have a crawlspace that has mold growing on the dirt floor and on the concrete walls. Will this product work for those areas? If not, what will?
    A

Bora-Care with Mold-Care is meant to be used as a wood preservative and mold treatment for wood pieces only. It is not labeled for concrete or soil, so we cannot recommend it for that use.  We do not sell any products that are labeled for mold on concrete or soil at this time.

    Q
Can Bora-Care with Mold-Care be used on anything besides wood?
Regular Bora-Care is labeled for use on "concrete, block, brick, metals, PVC plumbing pipes and other non-cellulosic materials found in structures." Does this apply to Bora-Care with Mold-Care, too?
    A

Bora-Care with Mold Care is only labeled for wood treatment and cannot be used on any other surface.  The normal Bora-Care can be applied to other surfaces, but typically those are when you mix normal Bora-Care 1:1, and the Bora-Care with Mold Care is labeled to be applied at 5:1.

    Q
Can Demon WP be mixed with Dragnet SFR as well as Bora-Care with Mold-Care?
I was looking for a quick knock down along with a lasting residual, and wanted to treat attic rafters and wood all at the same time. I believe all of this will mix together just fine but wanted to ask first.
    A

Bora-Care with Mold-Care is not labeled to tank mix with other products and we would not recommend doing so. We recommend that you apply the products separately to avoid any possible issues.

    Q
Mixing Levels of Boracare with Mold-Care
Why is it that if I have an existing wood decay fungus problem, the Bora Care only label wants me to do a 1:1 mixing ratio, but to treat the same problem with Bora Care with Mold Care it calls for a 5:1 ratio?
    A

Bora-Care with Mold Care is a very specialized product for mold only.  Mold is not wood decaying fungus.  Existing wood decaying fungus requires a 1:1 solution of just Bora-Care, but if you do not have any existing fungus and you are just preventing fungus growth, you can apply at a 5:1 ra…

    Q
Can Bora-Care with Mold Care be applied as a foam. Also, is it as effective as BoraCare in treating termites?
    A

Bora-Care with Mold Care will not eliminate existing termites, powder post beetles, or other wood destroying organisms because it is mixed at a 5:1 ratio to eliminate mold and you need to mix normal Bora-Care at a 1:1 ratio to eliminate existing wood eating insects. So, if termites is your main i…

    Q
Surface preparation before application of Boracare?
For the treatment of mold and/or wood decaying fungi is there any surface preparation required or recommended prior to applying Boracare or Boracare with Moldcare.
    A

Most folks do choose to use the Mold Clean before applying the Boracare with Moldcare. Mold-Clean is the perfect cleaner to apply to remove mold and mildew stains, especially before a Bora-Care application. Mold-Clean will not treat or prevent mold, but will remove staining and discoloration.

Dry Rot on my 20 year old redwood deck
I have a 20 year old redwood deck. There is no sign of termites, but there is dry rot in a some places. I plan to power wash both the top and under sides of the decking. Is BORACARE with MOLD-CARE the appropriate treatment after the washing? If yes, what is the appropriate dilution ratio?
    A

If you do not currently have any mold issues, then you should just use normal Bora-Care.  Bora-Care with mold care is really only meant for when you have mold issues and preferably indoors.  You should mix Bora-Care at a 1:1 ratio with water and apply on your deck as long as the wood is ra…

    Q
I am intending to install some new cabinets in my new house. I am worried of termites and also mold.
There is sign of termites infestation in some old cupboards which I had discarded recently. Other than that, I did not find any traces of termites elsewhere in the house. As I am worried about both termites and mold, can I apply one coat of Boracare for the new cabinets followed by one coat of Boracare with mold care? This is because I am worried that Boracare with mold care alone may not be sufficient/strong enough to prevent the termites (which previously are present in the house) from attacking the new cabinets.
    A

According to the manufacturer you can apply a coat of the Boracare followed by a coat of the Boracare with Moldcare. We hope this information is helpful!
