    Q
After spraying Cy-Kick CS indoors when is safe to enter that area?
    A

It is safe to enter the area treated with Cy-Kick CS, once the area has fully dried. This is typically 2-4 hours later.

    Q
I know Cy-kick is rainfast after 24 hours, but how many times can it be rained on before needing to reapply?
Arizona has had rain showers this monsoon season every 3 - 4 days or so. When it it does rain it's usually big rain drops but only lasts about an hour. How many times can Cy-kick withstand being rained on before I should reapply? I have used Cy-kick for years to effectively keep my house and property scorpions free, but the last few years it would rain heavy one day then not again for weeks. This year though, we get light rain overnight every 3 days or so. I started using Cy-kick after I was stung by a bark scorpion 3 times in one month and the third sting landed me in the ER with seizures and my airways swelling shut. So needless to say, I really need to make sure my scorpion defense is effective through the summer, especially since when it rains is when all the critters outside try to come inside, but I don't want to over apply for health and safety concerns for my dog and I.
    A
Cy-Kick CS should be applied every 4 weeks under normal conditions & reapplied every 3 weeks in extreme weather such as constant rain

    Q
Do I have need to use more than one pesticide to kill cockroaches
I love in a apartment and it's infested with cockroaches. I want to know do i need to use more than one pesticide to get rid of roaches. Also is cy kick more effective than novacide
    A
While Cy Kick CS is a great product, its not a go to insecticide for roaches as it has no transfer effect to get to any of the roaches in hiding. Cy Kick is used far more for spiders and scorpions than roaches or similar colony pests like them.
One of our roach control kits would be recommended for roach control. These professional kits includes non-staining, low odor concentrated insecticide for spraying the outside perimeter of the home and inside underneath appliances, behind cabinets, under toilets and sinks, etc. You'll also get Roach Bait Gel to help get rid of those roaches that like to hide. Baits can be applied up high in the kitchen in the corner of cabinets and in cracks and crevices in kitchens and bathrooms. The bait contains a slow-acting poison that attracts and kills feeding roaches, who also spread the bait to other roaches by contact or by sharing food. Finally, an Insect Growth Regulator is offered which will stop roaches from laying eggs, helping to halt the infestation. The combination of an IGR with roach bait is a highly effective roach control strategy that is widely used by pest control professionals. The insecticide must be applied with a 1 gallon pump sprayer.

    Q
Does cy kick affect the reproductive cycle of cockroach
Does cy kick prevent cockroaches from laying eggs
    A
Cy Kick CS is a residual insecticide concentrate and is not an IGR. If you are looking for an IGR for roaches for indoor control, Gentrol IGR Concentrate is the most popular choice for mixing with other residual insecticide products.

    Q
What can I use to kill springtails? I've noticed them in the kitchen, restrooms, and dining room.
I just bought Martins permethrin 13.3, Bug out max bifenthrin 0.2 granules and assault ii insect spray that the pest store recommended to buy this is my first pest problem or should I buy Cy-Kick? For indoor and outdoor. And will the springtails get on my area rug or furniture .
    A
Cy-Kick CS can be used indoors and outdoors for springtail control.  Springtails can be tough to eliminate because they reproduce very quickly. In almost every case where people have spring tails they also have a moisture problem such as a leaking or sweating pipe, poor ventilation in their crawl space, lots of wet mulch right up next to their structure, etc. You must locate and correct the moisture problem to get rid of the springtails, insecticides alone will not do the job. You may want to look over our article on How To Get Rid Of Springtails for more information on treating and preventing this pest.

    Q
    Cy-Kick CS
I keep my Cy-Kick CS in a laundry closet, so it is dark and temperature regulated. I use it in 3-4 months. I get a significant amount of precipitate in it by the end of that storage time. My sprayer filters that out, but I'm concerned that it's effectiveness may be compromised.
    A
Sometimes when chemicals such as Cy-Kick CS  sit for months at a time the contents can start to settle. We recommend to agitate the product before using if it has been sitting.

    Q
Is this an effective treatment for brown recluse spiders?
Having an issue with brown recluse spiders, cockroaches and dirt daubers. I know that brown recluse spiders are infamous for being difficult to kill with insecticides, unless sprayed directly. Will this product combat hidden brown recluse when they walk through treatment areas.
    A
Yes, Cy-Kick CS will kill just about any spider that it is sprayed. Spiders are very difficult to control however and most residual insecticides like Cy Kick CS will kill any spider that it is physically sprayed on, but new spiders entering the area are very difficult for any insecticide to control.  This is because spiders' bodies are high off of the ground and they do not groom their legs as other insects do. How these products mainly control spiders is that they kill the spider's food that is around, all of the other bugs, and if there is no food around, then the spiders will not want to be in that area anymore. For more information, please take a few moments to review our article on Brown Recluse Spider Control to learn how to make your home less favorable to this pest.

    Q
Does the smart cap technology also help transfer the product from one insect to another?
I'm confused by when it says mobile lethal dose? Does this mean it will transfer from one pest to another?
    A
Cy-Kick CS does not have a transfer affect to other insects in the colony. The active ingredient Cyfluthrin will only affect the insects that cross the treated area.

Temprid FX is a dual mode of action insecticide using two active ingredients, beta Cyfluthrin and Imidacloprid. The imidacloprid is a non repellent that transfers throughout the colony as insects travel and contact each other.

    Q
Is Cy-Kick CS effective at killing and preventing Thrips on houseplants?
I have bought a new bottle of Cy-kick CS from DMO every year for the last 4 years because it is the ONLY product I've used that keeps my house and property SCORPION FREE in the middle of Arizona. Can I use the bottle I still have to irradicate a Thrips investation that's killing my most expensive houseplants? I really can't afford to spend $$ on something else in addition to my yearly Cy-kick order, especially since the price has gone up from the low $40s to almost $60.
    A

Cy-Kick CS is not labeled for control of thrips or for use on houseplants. For the best control of sucking and chewing pests such as thrips, we recommend using a foliar spray such as Natural Guard Neem RTU along with a systemic product applied to the soil such as Hi-Yield Systemic Insect Granules. Be sure to keep infested plants separate from plants that are not infested to help prevent spread.

    Q
Can I mix Cy-Kick CS stronger instead of treating further out from the foundation for Scorpions?
So, reading Scorpions harder to kill vs small spiders and one of your answers is to spray a wider area "up" the side of house and out from the base of the house. What is I just do what I am not supposed to do and make a much stronger solution and spray a smaller coverage area???
    A

When treating the exterior perimeter of the foundation of the home, you will want spray 2-3ft up and 2-3ft out from the foundation, around windows, doors, under the eaves of the overhangs and roof. Trim bushes, shrubs, trees, and any foliage atleast 12 inches off the side of the house to prevent Scorpions and other insects from bypassing the ground/foundation where you’ve applied.

Mixing Cy-Kick CS or any other insecticide stronger than the product label or in areas not listed on the product label will not make your treatments more effective or quicker, it can actually do the exact opposite and hinder your results by being too strong or act as a repellent.

    Q
Does Raid keep Cy Kick CS from working like it should?
So I treated my parents entire house with Cy Kick CS and a IGR mixture, Later that evening my Dad was liberally using Raid in pretty much the same areas. Will the Raid keep the cy kick cs from being effective or break it down in any way?
    A

Unfortunately, we do not sell Raid products therefore we are not familiar with the active ingredients. However, we don't recommend spraying other pesticides in the same areas treated with synthetic pyrethroids like Cy-Kick CS to avoid one insecticide counteracting the other. You can clean the areas with soap and water and reapply or wait 30 days to reapply either one.

    Q
Can Cy-Kick CS be used to treat a large termite colony I found will tilling 1.5ft deep of bare ground in clay type soil?
I already have Cy-kick on hand, that's why I'm asking. I've already managed to eradicate scorpions, bedbugs, and I've almost won the war against crabgrass, which has all been very expensive. (I don't mind the labor, I do what I gotta do to get rid of the problem, no matter how much time and work I gotta put into it.) This pandemic unfortunately has left me in a position where I'm not financially capable of taking on the costs associated with ANOTHER nearly impossible infestation right now. The issues Iisted above have already cost me thousand$ over the last 3 years. =(
    A

Cy-Kick CS could be used for a supplemental treatment to control drywood and above ground Subterranean Termites and other wood infesting insects but not for drenching bareground or soil areas.

Depending how close this area is to your home, termites in the lawn do not necessarily need to be controlled or treated. The main concern would be to protect your home, sheds, buildings, etc with the Termite Trench Method using Taurus SC.
Taurus SC when applied by trench method will provide a 10 year barrier protection against Subterranean Termites. Please view our Subterranean Termite Guide for step by step instructions.

We would also recommend inspecting any nearby trees, shrubs, bushes, wood piles or structures for addtional signs of termite activity. If termite activity is found in any of these areas, Dominion 2L can be used as a soil drench around the root zone and also as a foliar spray to the trunks, branches, and termite colony nests if found.

    Q
Is Cy Kick CS or Demand CS better for brown recluse spiders? Is there a better treatment?
I caught adult and baby brown recluse spiders in sticky traps. I am looking for the best DIY way of treating my house for brown recluse spiders in my basement, main and 2nd floors, attic, and exterior of my house. I have experience treating other insects and pests, but I need help knowing how to treat brown recluse spiders. The pest control company said it would be $500-$1000 to treat (they did not inspect house yet).
    A

Cy-Kick CS and the Demand CS are both great products for spider control. However, neither list Brown Recluse specifically on their product label.

Transport Mikron is an insecticide you may use which is labeled specifically for Brown Recluse Spiders. Please view the full product label for more information.

    Q
Can Cy-Kick CS be used for a roach infestation and mosquitoes?
    A

Cy-Kick CS is labeled for roaches and mosquitoes as well as many other insects for both indoor and outdoor applications. To eliminate an active roach infestation, you will need to use a roach bait gel and insect growth regulator along with the residual insecticide. We include all 3 recommended products in our Roach Control Kits. Proper cleaning and santitation practices along with repeat treatments are required every 14 days to eliminate roaches. View our Roach Treatment Guide for more information on a successful treatment.

For Mosquitoes, CyKick CS can be used for monthly foliar spray applications to bushes, trees, shrubs and shaded/cool areas of the yard and sides of the home. For additional treatment options, we would recommend adding an insect growth regulator like NyGuard IGR to the tank mix. View our Mosquito Treatment Guide for more information.

    Q
Can Cy-Kick CS be tank mixed with Bifen IT?
    A

No, Cy-Kick CS would not be tank mixed with Bifen IT.

Bifen IT is a synthetic pyrethroid and Cy-Kick CS already contains a synthetic pyrethroid, so there would be nothing to gain by mixing these products together. Making a pesticide too strong can actually backfire. Areas that are treated with this overly concentrated spray will be repellent and insects will simply avoid the treated areas prolonging the infestation.
