No, Demon WP would not penetrate into the wood to reach the powder post beetles. BoraCare would be recommended to treat raw wood (no paint, stain/finish of any kind) for wood destroying insects such as powderpost beeltes and termites. Spray all sides of the wood, and if the wood is thicker than 5x5 inches thick, you would need to do 2 coats to make sure the product penetrates to the center of the wood, Boracare lasts for the life of the wood (indoors/protected from the elements) and will kill the beetles as they eat their way out of the wood and emerge, as well as protect it from new infestations down the road. View the BoraCare product label for more information. You should still expect to see some activity of the beetles even after treating, as they only are killed through ingesting the treated wood, and you cannot stop/control when the life cycles try to emerge.

For smaller applications areas or if treating wood that is painted, stained or sealed, Jecta would be an alternative option. Drill holes iinto the wood where powderpost beetles have been observed and insert Jecta into the holes for direct colony treatment. This product will also absorb into the wood and then last the life of the wood. Same process as with BoraCare, as the insects consume the wood from the inside they will die from eating the treated wood. View the Jecta product label for more information.

Demon WP Insecticide is labeled for German roaches however will only kill roaches that come into contact with the treated area and does not have any transfer qualities which is important in eliminating an active roach infestation. This is not a contact kill and take 1-3 weeks to kill the roaches that have contacted the treated areas. The best treatment for German Roaches as they reproduce quickly and in large numbers would be to use a combination of products along with diligent repeat treatments every 14 days. This cannot be applied directly in sinks, tubs, or drainsl. If treating outdoors, you will want to use caution so that the treatment solution is not introduced into the gravel and/or pipe drainage system which may be located on the exterior of the foundation in close proximity to the footing of the structure.

Demon WP is not specifically labeled to treat tussock moth caterpillars. We found an article by the University of California Ag Extension Office explaining how to treat and prevent these pests. The article states, “Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) is known to control tussock moth larvae, especially if applied when most larvae are young. Bacillus thuringiensis kills only caterpillars (butterfly and moth larvae) that feed on sprayed foliage. A second application of Bt about 7 to 10 days after the first is recommended because of its short persistence.”

We would not recommend spraying Demon WP while the birds are in the room. Remove all animals from the home/rooms while treating and until the application has dried. This could take anywhere between 2-3 hours.

Demon WP Insecticide is not labeled for frog control. Unfortunately we do not carry any products for frog control as most frogs are seen as beneficial predators that help control insects. However the product will control their food source, making them want to locate elsewhere.

No Demon WP cannot be used for an in-home delivery system. For in-home delivery systems, you can use either Optigard Flex Liquid or Tandem Insecticide. Be sure to follow the product label for dilution and application rates.

No, Demon WP Insecticide is not labeled for bed bug control. Bed Bugs require a combination of products in order to fully eradicate an infestation as well as repeat treatments every 7-14 days. The best route to go is one of our Bed Bug Control Kits that has all the products you will need to treat. Which kit you choose depends on the number of rooms you need to treat. Treating with an insecticide alone will not eradicate bed bugs. Each kit is designed to treat a different size home or number of rooms, so you can choose the one best suited to the areas that are affected by the pest problem. The kits come with all the products needed to do a complete treatment in all the places bed bugs can hide and enough product to complete roughly 4 repeat applications. Repeat applications are necessary to fully eradicate them.
