DominAnt Liquid Ant Bait Stations is an attractant that attracts super-sweet eating ants instantly, which gather to it in minutes. It kills and controls most common household ants and their colonies. DominAnt is extremely attractive to ants, so when sweet-eating ants find a food source in your home, simply apply Dominant in a liquid bait station near the trailing ants and watch as the ants swarm the station. Because ants are social insects, they will bring the bait back to their colony where it is shared and kills the colony – including the queen.
DominAnt is available in pint and gallon containers as well as .47 fluid ounce bait stations.

How it Works
Its super-sweet bait may lure ants quickly, but DominAnt ultimate effect on target pests comes from the way the boron molecules in its active ingredient interfere with a pests metabolism. Because pests cannot excrete excess boron as humans and other organisms can, the boron builds up in their systems and ultimately interrupts the digestive process. So, by ingesting DominAnt, the insect is unable to extract nutrition from its food and effectively starves to death. Humans, pets and other living things don’t share the risk because they are able to excrete excess boron from their bodies.
Green Pest Management
DominAnt can be used in Green Pest Management programs. As a borate-based product, DominAnt targets specific pests. This reduces the impact on non-target insects beneficial to the environment (such as butterflies and honeybees). Also, DominAnt is applied only where needed, further reducing any unnecessary impact to the rest of the environment. And since it is long-lasting, less product is required for a successful and effective Green Pest Management program.

I actually bought this back in 2010 from this very site and simply lost track of where it was that I ordered these from. I had recently moved into an apartment back then which already had the little tiny ants in it. The complex's pest control company had come out once and treated for the ants but it didn't get rid of them. I ordered these and placed them around where the ants were. Within 2 days the ants were swarming the bait stations and taking the bait back to their nests. Within 2 weeks all of the ants had disappeared and I didn't see them the rest of the time I lived in that apartment!

Do we take the foil off the whole station or just a portion. If so, how much?
To open the DominAnt Liquid Ant Bait Stations, you actually break the lid by popping one end up to create an entrance for the ants. You do not need to remove any of the foil covering to open the stations.

The ants are not going up to get into the station.
We would recommend keeping the bait inside the DominAnt Liquid Ant Bait Stations for several reasons. First, the liquid would either create a mess or be somewhat absorbed into the porous surface of the shelf. Secondly, the station keeps the bait fresh and protected from contaminants. Finally, these stations have a new design that allows ants to consume and carry the bait out without drowning in the bait, which is a common problem with many liquid bait stations.
Be sure that you have snapped open the lid so that the ants have access to the bait in the station. Also be sure that you have not placed bait in areas where you have recently or will use any cleaners that have odors, as this can make bait less palatable to the ants. You also want to be sure to eliminate any competing food or water sources the ants may have found. If you are taking care to perform these steps and the ants stil are not attracted to the bait, we recommend using a protein bait. Protein baits have a different bait matrix which may be what the ants you currently have are looking for; these baits will be solid or granular bait.
