We recommend this package of ferti•lome WINTERIZER because a fall feeding can help prevent winter damage to lawn grasses, and you do not lose as many valuable trees, shrubs, ornamentals and evergreens due to hazards of a cold winter.

1. USED FOR: This is especially formulated to help put your lawn, trees, shrubs, ornamentals and evergreens in proper condition to withstand the hazards of a cold winter, because it helps build root systems. Root growth goes on throughout the fall and winter. Recommended for fall and winter uses.
2. HOW DO USE IT:

• ESTABLISHED LAWNS: Apply ferti•lome WINTERIZER using spreader settings in table below. Water thoroughly after application. The maximum number of broadcast applications per treatment site is 2 per year. Application rate is 4.0 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft.
• Do not apply near water, storm drains or drainage ditches. Do not apply if heavy rain is excepted. Apply this only to the lawn/garden, and sweep any that lands on the driveway, sidewalk, or street back onto your lawn/garden.

TREES:

It is very important to fertilize your trees. Well-fed trees not only grow faster and develop into better shade trees, but well-fed trees normally are not damaged as extensively by tree borers and other insects as poorly fed trees. Fertilize your trees by applying 1 lb. of ferti•lome WINTERIZER for each inch of trunk diameter. Apply to ground out under the widest spread of branches. Water thoroughly.

SHRUBS, ORNAMENTALS, EVERGREENS:

Apply ferti•lome WINTERIZER by sprinkling a light coating on ground out under the widest spread of branches at the rate of 1 cup to 3 ft. plant; larger or smaller plants in proportion. Water thoroughly.

ROSES, AZALEAS, CAMELLIAS AND GARDENIAS:

Ferti•lome WINTERIZER can be used for the fall feeding of Roses, Azaleas, Camellias and Gardenias by following the directions listed above for shrubs. Water thoroughly.

CAUTION: DO NOT OVER APPLY NEAR SHRUBS AND TREE TRUNKS.
