I wished I had know these lights were so large! I ordered 2 only to find they don’t fit in the outlets I needed to use because they are too long. I have to use extension cords. Actually, they are obtrusive to have in the kitchen and bathroom. Too bright for indoors. On the plus side they do attract the insects, but still have not solved the problem. I will try something else next time.
Had this shipped in mid-October. Bought it for the flies we were getting over the summer, but we were at the end of the season when it arrived. So surprise, I haven't caught any flies. We did have one bad night when someone left open a door too long, and caught a bunch of gnats on it that night. So I'm thankful for that. But now that the weather is cooler and the flies are gone, I'm thinking I just need to put it away and try again in the spring, when I know we'll get another chance. Will update my post next summer after I get a real chance to use it.
The light seems to do what it's supposed to but is very top heavy and falls forward once plugged into an outlet. If you have newer outlets that still fit plugs snugly then you probably won't have an issue. But if your outlets have been used frequently and the plugs are even a little loose then this light will fall forward and not stay up against the wall. It would alao be nice if it had an on/off switch
