First, we would like to inform you that Fusilade II Herbicide is not labeled to be used on or around any edibles such as bananas. However, the time of kill depends on a few different variables such as the specific weed you are targeting, the outside temperature, as well as the ground temperature. The hotter it is outside the quicker the kill and you also have to be sure that the ground temperature is atleast 55 degrees. If below 55 degrees then the target weeds will be dormant and a kill will not be likely. Although, weed growth is halted and within just one week there will be loss of vigor, yellow and/or reddening, and eventual death of the treated grass weeds.

Will Fusilade II Herbicide hurt rabbits who eat the remaining grass in the yard?
have wild rabbits who come into yard on regular basis. If I apply at night then water in the AM. Will the grass the rabbits eat be safe for them? am using product to kill foxtail. Do not want to harm rabbits or my dog who occasionaly may eats grass!

Fusilade II Herbicide should not be used in your turfgrass because it will harm it as well. This product is meant to be used inside of groundcover, over flowers, and around ornamentals. Fusilade II Herbicide should not be used in your turfgrass because it will harm it as well. This product is meant to be used inside of groundcover, over flowers, and around ornamentals. We do have other products that can be used in your lawn for foxtail. If you are using this product in those areas, it is recommended that you keep any animals off of the lawn until the product has dried completely. Once it has dried, it is safe for animals to go back into the area.

We do not currently carry any products that are labeled for quackgrass that are safe for use in cool season turf. We would recommend spot treating with something like Roundup and reseeding the areas

Can Fusilade II be combined wit other herbicides such as Dismiss or 3 way products?

Fusilade II Herbicide is not labeled for dollarweed control. It can be tank mixed if tested first and the products are labeled for the same usage for targeted weeds and desired areas. Fusilade is safe around most established ornamentals, including azalea.

Fusilade II Herbicide is not labelled to control broadleaf weeds or sedges (nutgrass), as it is only labeled to kill grassy weeds. The best way to kill actively growing chickweed is by pulling as much of it out of the ground as possible by hand or treating the weeds directly around the monkey grass with a non selective glyphosate product such as Roundup.

To prevent or suppress weeds from germinating, using a pre-emergent is helpful! Hi-Yield Turf & Ornamental Weed and Grass Stopper with Dimension is labeled to "suppress" chickweed and safe for monkey grass (liriope)

I need to kill torpedo grass that is taking over my landscaping. Will Fusilade II hurt the rest of my plants?
I have Agapanthas, Indian Hawthorne, Hibiscus, day lilies, hydrangeas,cleyera, etc.

Fusilade II Herbicide will not harm your ornamentals. Be sure to use 24 fl oz an acre per application, up to three applications may be needed for complete control of Torpedograss.

Will Fusilade II Herbicide work on Bermuda in Kurapia groundcover?
I've read grass b gon can be an option since it contains Fusilade, but when I contact Ortho they said it's not safe to use on Kurapia. Any help is appreciated.

Since Kurapia is not listed as tolerant on the product label, we would not recommend using the Fusilade II Herbicide on this groundcover. If you are going to test it for tolerance, we would recommend testing a small area first. You may also want to check with your local Cooperative Extension office for assistance with what herbicides it may be able to tolerate. Since this is a newer type of groundcover, it probably will take some time before it is listed on herbicide labels.

I am looking to kill canary grass. Does Fusilade kill sedges or members of the lily family?

Fusilade will not kill sedges. Grass out will kill canary grass. We really need to know where you would be applying the herbicide to ensure the product will not harm your grass. What tyoe of turf grass so you have?

Can Fusilade be used safely to kill grassy weeds in arctotheca ground cover?

A

Yes, Fusilade Herbicide can be used over arctotheca ground cover. You will use 0.4 - 0.6 fl. oz. per 1000 square feet. This will generally mix in at least a gallon of water. Make sure that you use a non ionic surfactant when using the product to coat the weeds you are wanting to control.
