According to the product label, you want to place one GENTROL POINT SOURCE device to treat up to a 75 square foot area surrounding it, but you want to pay particular attention to locations of roach or SPP activity. More devices may be needed in areas with a heavy roach infestation.
We always offer free shipping, however, we are not set up to ship Internationally at this time.
Could you please explain the situation for us to better answer?
No, Gentrol Point Source is labeled for roaches and stored products pests which are red, confused flour, and merchant beetles. You can use NyGuard Plus for control of carpet beetles. We also have more information in our article How to Get Rid of Carpet Beetles here.
There is no correct up or down position when placing the Gentrol Point Source station on the wall vertically.
Gentrol Point Source Stations do not have any kind of attractant in them. Once activated, each Point Source Station releases the Insect Growth Regulator slowly over 90 days, treating up to 75 square feet. If you stopped using other products and you are still seeing roaches, that would explain a potential increase since you are no longer controlling the adult insects with just the IGR. You do not need to continue using the Gentrol Point Source Stations for roaches if you are no longer finding any roaches in the area.
Yes, Gentrol Point Source can be shipped to California.
You may place the Gentrol Point Source near areas where you have sprayed the insecticide. It will not taint the product as long as you are following the instructions on the product label. We do recommend placing the discs somewhere up higher so that the product can slowly drift down through the air providing more coverage. Technically, the stations can be moved after placing, yes, but, there is not really a need to move them once they have been place. 1 disc will cover up to 75 sq ft of open area and last up to 3 months.
Yes, while the NyGuard IGR in and of itself would work just fine on roaches as well as fleas, leaving no need for the use of the Gentrol Point Source, you can certainly place them within the home in areas you would like more reach of the growth inhibitor. This would be a completely safe application to do.
Gentrol Point Source Stations will cause the roaches to become deformed. It also will prompt the females to prematurely lay their eggs (the eggs will also be affected by the product). You should place a Gentrol Point Source disc in each room. For the kitchen area, you can use the sticky tabs included in the package and place the disc on the side or behind the fridge or place it to the side of the cabinets or pantry. You only need to keep the disc away from food prep areas not from stored food product. Gentrol Point Source should never be used to eliminate a roach population by itself. Gentrol will not kill roaches...it only prevents them from reproducing. You should use roach baits like the Advion Roach Bait Gel and roach sprays like the Cyzmic CS in conjunction with the Gentrol Point Source. Please take a moment to look at our Roach Control Kits.
Gentrol Point Source Place Packs can be applied to walls, bookshelves, etc using the adhesive backing included. Other areas also include cabinets, closets, pantries, drawers, refuse areas, electrical boxes, equipment, false ceilings, and around doors, expansion joints, pipe chases, dressers, windows, heating and air conditioning ducts, refrigerators, and voids where pests are active.

If the product you purchased appears dry we recommend contacting the manufacture to make sure the product you received is not defective.
Traditional air purifiers would not impact the vapors emitted by Gentrol Point Source, as those filter types collect dust, bugs and debris from the air. However, you may wish to contact the manufacturer Zoecon directly for clarification regarding the specific type of filter you are referring to, as we are not familiar.
Zoecon can be reached for product support by either calling 1-800-248-7763, or by visiting their website's contact page.
