Fogging/Bombing homes for roaches typically is not the most effective method to eliminating a roach infestation as these products will only kill roaches that are out at the same time as the fogger is going off. They do not leave a residual effective to transfer back to the colony. The only time fogging would be recommended for roach treatments would be if you are seeing high numbers of roaches and want knockdown of the initial population before following up with proper roach treatment program such as one of our Roach Control Kits.
While fogging would not harm the Gentrol Point Source stations you already have out, it would be recommended to remove any discs while fogging/bombing. Also, when using the Gentrol Point Source, these discs are more effective when placed up high as the vapor it releases is slightly heavier than air, and higher up placements such as the side of upper cabinets above/behind the fridge, etc will help the product disperse through the area better to reach more of the population. While 1 or 2 down low is fine, to get the most from the product you would not want to place many down on the floor.
Each one of our Roach Control Kits includes the top professional grade products for roaches including a non-staining, low odor concentrated insecticide, a roach bait gel and the Gentrol Pointe Source Discs with enough for roughly 3-4 treatments.

No, one Gentrol Point Source will cover about 75 square feet. We recommend placing the discs up high like on top of cabinets or the fridge so the product can get airflow to help it move through the room being treated.

Gentrol Point Source may be used in your kitchen. Exposed food is food that is out in the open and is not sealed in a container. You will keep the device itself a minimum of 3 feet away from any exposed food. Otherwise, I would recommend using it in other areas such as on the wall beside the fridge or maybe behind the toilet.
If seeing current roach activity indoors, using a combination of residual insecticide like Temprid FX along with Advion Roach Bait Gel along with Gentrol Point Source is the most effective way to treat roach activity before it turns into an infestation. We recommend also treating the exterior perimeter foundaiton of the home with a residual insecticide as well as doing exclusion, cleaning out landscape beds, trimming bushes, shrubs, trees back off the side of the house, etc. For a successful program, check out our guide/videos here.
Per the SDS, Gentrol Point Source stations have a faint odor. Gentrol Point Source never be used to eliminate a roach population by itself. Gentrol will not kill roaches...it only prevents them from reproducing.
Yes, we recommend you use Gentrol Point Source stations should be placed in specific areas of activity which may include cabinets, closets, pantries, drawers, refuse areas, electrical boxes, equipment, false ceilings, and around doors, expansion joints, pipe chases, dressers, windows, heating and air conditioning ducts, refrigerators, and voids where pests are active. After activation, each station will remain active for up to 90 days. For easy maintenance, each station has a diagram where the month activated can be marked. The IGR helps to keep target insect populations under control, which is especially useful in areas where conventional sprays and foggers are not appropriate or where baits are less effective due to competing food sources. Gentrol Point Source helps to achieve more rapid results than using adulticides alone since surviving insects are not able to re-establish the population.
Gentrol Point Source works by damaging adult insects listed on the label, including stored product pests like confused flour beetles, and preventing them from reproducing. Although it would not prevent confused flour beetles altogether, if you currently had adult confused flour beetles within 75 square feet of a disc placement, it would work to prevent them from reproducing.
To activate Gentrol Point Source, press firmly between thumb and forefinger on the pouch located on the side of the device, until a snapping sound is heard indicating that the contents of the Gentrol capsule have been released. Place the device in any orientation (vertical or horizontal). Do not place in areas accessible to children. Place the Gentrol Point Source in areas where roach or SPP activity has been observed. For vertical placement of Gentrol Point Source Stations, expose the sticky surface by removing the paper backing and pressing the device firmly in place.
Gentrol Point source contains hydroprene, which is a biorational Insect growth regulator (IGR). This disrupts the life cycle of certain insects in the egg and larvae stages of development, essentially making it a type of birth control for insects and preventing them from reproducing. Pests do not need to contact the device directly since the active ingredient can treat up to 75 square feet. On the other hand, the insect monitors usually come in a plastic or cardboard base covered with a very sticky, glue-like substance which will trap the insect and will not be able to extricate themselves while the IGR will not kill the adult stages of the insects.
Yes, Gentrol Point Source Stations will work on a variety of species of roaches. Gentrol will not kill roaches...it only prevents them from reproducing. Gentrol Point Source should never be used to eliminate a roach population by itself.

One of our roach control kits would be recommended for roach control. These professional kits includes non-staining, low odor concentrated insecticide for spraying the outside perimeter of the home and inside underneath appliances, behind cabinets, under toilets and sinks, etc. You'll also get Roach Bait Gel to help get rid of those roaches that like to hide. Baits can be applied up high in the kitchen in the corner of cabinets and in cracks and crevices in kitchens and bathrooms. The bait contains a slow-acting poison that attracts and kills feeding roaches, who also spread the bait to other roaches by contact or by sharing food. Finally, an Insect Growth Regulator is offered which will stop roaches from laying eggs, helping to halt the infestation. The combination of an IGR with roach bait is a highly effective roach control strategy that is widely used by pest control professionals. The insecticide must be applied with a 1 gallon pump sprayer.
