If effective, how long does it take to actually kill them? What other products should be used in conjunction with the dust for treatment indoors and outdoors? (Really having a hard time coming to grips with spraying chemical inside (carpets, furniture, etc.) so least toxic yet effective if such a thing exisits. Thanks!
Cimexa Dust works very well on ticks. Be sure to only use a light coating of dust so that they will walk through the treated area versus walking around it. The kill time depends on the stage of life the insect is in; They normally die within one week of coming in contact with the treated area. For outdoor use, we would recommend using Essentria IC3 and Archer IGR. Essentria IC3 is a green product that is made with plant oils. Archer IGR is an insect growth regulator; this will stop the lifecycle of the fleas. These products are mixed together and broadcast across your lawn to treat affected areas. This can be done every 21 days as needed. This should only be used outdoors. For indoor use, the Cimexa Dust in combination with Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray. This product has an insect growth regulator and a residual for fleas. This can be done every 10-14 days. Be sure to vacuum daily in between treatments. Please take a look at our Flea Guide for tips on how to treat and prevent fleas in the future.
