Image Herbicide for St. Augustine Grass on Floratam grass,which is a st augustine
so many weed control products are for St Augustine, but cannot be used on Floratam grass. Can this product be used ?

I over sprayed my centipede grass with Image and in four days it browned

It is absolutely possible to damage your turf with Image Herbicide if you apply too much product over the treatment area. Keep in mind this could occur from just using too much or perhaps from product not being mixed properly. Another possibility that sometimes occurs is that if there were residue from another product in your sprayer such as glyphosate/roundup or even a totally different kind of product which is not meant to be sprayed on turf, that could cause injury. If you have any turf type other than centipede or St Augustine, Atrazine will likely damage your turf. We are sorry that you had trouble with this product. Image Herbicide for St. Augustine Grass and Centipede Grass is not labeled to treat chamberbitter. You can use a product like Hi Yield Atrazine which has been proven very effective in treating chamberbitter. Hi Yield Atrazine is labeled for use in both St. Augustine and centipede lawns.

Unfortunately there are no products available that will kill the Dallisgrass without killing the surrounding St. Augustine grass. The best option once it has emerged is to either spot spray or wipe on something like Round U p Quick Pro, or hand dig up the clumps of dallisgrass down to the root system and re-seed.
