Can JT Eaton Kills be sprayed on luggage immediately after a trip or does it have to be sprayed before a trip?

A

The JT Eaton KILLS Bedbugs, Ticks, and Mosquitoes can be applied anytime and will keep on killing for 4 to 6 weeks. It would be best to apply before traveling so that your luggage will be slightly repellent but you can apply it after traveling if needed.

Looking for a preventative spray to bring with me for my upcoming hotel stay.

There are lots of pre-mixed liquid permethrin sprays, but I'm looking for a powder that I can easily travel with and store over a long period -- does it exist?

There is not any insecticide that is labeled to be applied on any type of clothing. We recommend taking a look at the Bed Bug Travel Kits & Products Page for products that are great to travel with. You can also look at using Steri-fab for a contact kill that does not leave a residual. Sterifab is to be applied to mattress, cushions, comforters, bedding, suitcases, sofas, couches, curtains, ets. Heat treatments of 140-180 degrees with your home dryer are best for treating clothing items. Place items in the dryer on a high heat for 45 minutes to ensure any insect and/or its eggs will be killed. You may do this daily or weekly.

Per the label: Remove any infested articles from storage, brush thoroughly, and air for several hours in sun light, if possible. Apply spray liberally to empty chests, closets, bureaus and other storages directing the spray in to cracks, joints and crevices. After airing, infested articles may be treated lightly, keeping nozzle at least three feet from fabric to avoid staining. Allow all treated articles to dry thoroughly before use.
